Yup! Lots to be thankful for this year. Good friends, and family. Roof over our heads and food in our bellies… plus the ability to get together and be able to enjoy it all. Life’s good!
What are yall thankful for?
Fact: if you checked everyone in the UK in 2013 about 30% of them celebrated thanksgiving, but now approximately 80% celebrate it (but mainly Morrisons, who have been doing a Black Friday thing since 2014).
@dreadyacht- The Black Friday thing I get, because it’s the last Friday of November so it’s the first big rush of Christmas Shopping, but where the hell did you get the figure that 80% of everyone in the UK celebrate thanksgiving? I’ve never even heard of anyone over here celebrating it, let alone 80% of the entire population.
Meh, I guessed…meh.

, but I had a good one! Got to see some family… watched the Parade on TV. Mariah Carey nailed “All I Want For Christmas”.;) Got to see the dog show… on TV. Got to see some backyard football… on real life. 😉 Built a fire… and had me some leftovers for dinner. 😀
Today was a good day!
My thanksgiving was good despite suffering a case of insomnia! Ate dinner with family and some friends went ti work ( Security Guards don’t get holidays off ) so went about 36 hours with sleep before passing out this morning! But still had a fun day!
I know all about jobs where you don’t get holidays off. Doing it while sleep deprived though… sounds like a rough night! At least you got a meal with your family, Kal! That’s something to be thankful for right there. If you didn’t get into altercations… that’s a bonus!

It’s such a shame that no one’s managed to breed a turkey with more than four drumsticks . . . ah, well. What we had was good.
Does 80% of anybody do anything anymore? I was under the impression that the world was growing more diverse.
@Herr D I know right! We need some kind of aracnoturkey. My Uncle deep fried our turkey this year… Usually I don’t like turkey but that one was amazing! Gonna have to invest in one of those deep fryers.
