Open Critique Day #30

Well, OCD is now back! I'm sorry for the long time I've gone without posting it; other things had popped up during the summer.

How this goes:  You post a work of yours, finished or WIP, and then others give you critiques on your work. I do not mind if you post non-HM pictures or piece of writing. Just make sure that you only post pictures that are your own design and not any that are copyrighted or based off of copyrighted characters.

Even this is called Open Critique Day, I allow (even encourage!) for you guys to post and discuss on this for the weekend until 11:59 pm Sunday.

I like it! The muted colours go well with each other and the overall design is impressive.

One thing you might want to try is adding some assymetry to the character; maybe pull back one foot a little bit, or lower one arm by a fraction, or cock the head to one side by a few degrees. It may seem like a minor thing, but it really helps the pose look less static and much more natural.

I’m making gnomes. These are obviously WIP, but I’d appreciate some critique all the same, especially concerning the color scheme.

I also want to make it clear that these guys are 4-5 inches tall. Any ideas on how to achieve that?

@stulte: enlarge grass and insects to the right scale.

@timeagain VERY nice… Depending on what you were going for, I *might* make the bones more pure white… as it is, they seem a bit flesh tone to me. Otherwise, that’s freaking amazing! ;0

Interesting take on Quetzalcoatl. Might I suggest using adding more contrast in the brightness of the grey items? As it is they all kinda blend together.

I really like the design of Titan. The lamprey like organic mouth in the middle of all that metal is a brilliant touch.
