I can't say I was expecting this result. Not trying to put down our winner or anything, but I thought it would be the person who came second who won. So, the first preview of the up coming series 9 of Doctor Who has been unveiled, so therefore I must give my opinions on what I want to see or do not want to see in the up coming series, as I did last year. Only this year, I've only got 3 points each instead of 5, because we've had a series to get used to how the new style of the show is, so therefore less to really talk about. Enjoy.

Ok, so this week, your focus in this challenge shall be heads, with particular focus on faces and hair. Now, a few additional rules for this weeks contest shall be in place, as with last week. No Masks or Hats, obviously, as that sort of defeats the whole point of the challenge, though hair accessories and jewellery are allowed. Also, all submissions must be headshots only, so you don't need to do anything below the shoulders. You can do non-human heads for this challenge (as I know someone will ask about this), just so long as it meets the other entry criteria. And yes, your character must have some sort of hair or facial hair, but don't just slap one of the standard hair items on the and call it a day. Be inventive.
As per usual, no limits on entries and the contest will close at midnight Saturday (blog time). Please read the contest rules before entering, have fun and good luck.
Rules for posts, contests, and challenges that I am hosting: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warnings. Now that's more like it. We managed to get back up to our usual poll participation level for this week, which, after last week, is a relief. And it was an interesting weeks worth of voting, with our eventual winner having to fend off second place at every turn, only to pull ahead at the last minute to take the win. And the person to whom I refer is djuby for his excellent (if untitled) entry. Congrats djuby and well done to everyone who entered.

This weeks COTW was very hard to choose. There have been at least 4 or 5 creations that could easily have got the nod, from such awesome creators as AMS, Headlessgeneral, Vectorman316 and Suleman, but in the end I felt compelled for some unknown reason to go for this pic by Mr. Nobody. It's a very good example of less being more when it comes to art, the entire atmosphere and impact of the picture coming from a two colour background and a blacked out figure. It may not sound like much, but I'm sure you'll agree, the effect is striking to say the least.
