Hopefully this weeks quiz will get a bit more attention than last weeks, which had, and I'll be blunt, a disappointing turn out. Anyway, this week we're going to be focusing on the X-Men. Good luck, and no using psychic powers to cheat ok.

So, as promised Gallery Grabs has returned after skipping a week. And me being a complete contrarian, actually was planning to cover someone else this week, but changed my mind because it would have been too predictable. So instead I decided to go with Vectorman, who, like CantDraw previously, is one of those 'machiners whose work is always consistently awesome, but who for some reason doesn't always get the plaudits afforded to some of his peers. So lets rectify that by taking a stroll through the best of the best of his art.

Character Design Contest ♯116- Easter Eggs

This week we've got an eggs-ellent  contest. What I egg-spect you to do is to create your own awesome Easter Eggs. Now, if you are planning to take a crack at it, I would suggest taking a look at either the egg shape on  the last page of Backgrounds- Shapes or the squashed circle on the second page of Insignia- Shapes. The designs can anything you want, but I only want to see the eggs decorated. No backgrounds, otherwise you're getting scrambled. And, of course, I eggs-pect nothing but the most eggs-eptional quality from you all.

As per usual, no limits on entries this week and the contest will close at egg-sactly midnight Saturday (blog time). Please read the contest rules before entering, have fun and good luck.

Rules for posts, contests, and challenges that I am hosting: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warnings. Only post characters that you have either created for this contest specifically or you know for certain have never been entered to a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.

Character Design Contest ♯114 (Rogues) Winner

I think everyone should be worried about the result of this weeks contest. Not only did our winner once again steamroller the poll, but they also picked up their third win of the year in the process. Now, we did have someone manage three contest wins last year, but they had to wait almost thirty contests between their first and second wins, whereas this person has managed three wins within ten contests, so that bodes ominously for everyone else who wants to enter a contest in the future. Because they're going to have to hope that they aren't going up against AMS, whose Rogue Ninja won this weeks poll by a fair margin, as per usual. Congrats AMS, and well done to everyone else who entered.

It's OCD time again! And Happy Easter, for those who celebrate that!

As for how this goes, you post a work of yours, finished or WIP (aka work in process, for those who are new to abbreviations), and then others give you critiques on your work.  I do not mind if you post the occasional non-HM picture or piece of writing. Just make sure that you only post pictures that are your own design and not any that copyrighted or based off of copyrighted characters. 

Also, if you post a work, it is highly recommended that you also give someone else a critique.

Characters Of The Week….

Ok. For once, I'm actually at a loss as to what to do here. I thought last week was going to be an anomaly, one week where everyone was on such amazing form that it was almost impossible to decide what would be COTW. But it seems everyone had other ideas and I'm left with a bit of a conundrum. You know how last week I said I had 10 different images that I could have chosen from? This week I've got so many images open in new tabs that I can't fit them all on to the tabs bar at the top of my page. But that's not the biggest problem. No, the biggest problem is that, out of all of those images, there are three that stand out and I can't in all good conscience chose one over the other two. It is not possible.

I know last week I was on about sitting there for hours trying to decide, but this week no, not going to do it, because I will not be able to decide. You can't make me. So I'm just gonna leave it there, we can have a three-way joint COTW for this week and I'm gonna go hide in a corner somewhere, binge on chocolate and pray that next week everyone goes a bit easier on me.

Ok  everyone, I hope you have your Space- Time Visualisers tuned and the polarity of the neutron flow has been properly reversed, because this week we are going to be tackling my favourite TV show, Doctor Who. Of course all the answers are going to be wobbly-wobbly timer-whimey so try to keep up.

Oh and for the purposes of this quiz, the word serial is used to describe any episodes that form an overarching storyline (e.g. Genesis of the Daleks is made up of 6 episodes all part of the same story) and this also will apply to multi-episode story lines from the revived series as well (e.g. The last 3 episodes of season 4 would all  be part of the same serial, despite having their own episode titles and numbers).
