Sidekicks #4 “Kid Flash”

Let's talk Kid Flash today. Wally West was Barry Allen's sidekick until Barry vanished and then he became the Flash. He was one of the first members of the Teen Titans and later a member of the Justice League. Bart Allen became Wally's Kid Flash later on.(about 25 years later in real world time) Kid Flash is one of my favorite sidekicks out there. Let's hear what you have to say.

I love Wally, he is my favorite.

This just makes me miss Wally. 🙁 Unless he ends up being the new Reverse Flash I haven’t heard of any plans to reintroduce him into DC’s New52 continuity. Stupid Flashpoint…

Man I have been out of comics for a long time. How did they kill Wally off?

They seem to have just written him out of the DC universe’s history after the latest reboot like he never existed. I think Barry Allen is the current Flash. One of the reason’s I prefer Marvel over DC, all the retcon’s etc make things so confusing. Marvel continuity is just so much easier.

They did kill him off in the last episode of Young Justice after he had saved the world. And I admit to almost shedding a tear for the little weirdo 🙁

Yeah, I liked wally very much, and hated to just see him dissapear because some moron out there decided that Barry Allen must be flash.
Nothwhistanding the fact that the guy died a good death, that was stupidly cheapened by his resurection, why couldn’t he have been flash besides wally, just as Jay Garrick?

    I hate editorial decisions.

i generally see DC continuity reboots as evidence that stories need to end. Marvel’s better at the continuity thing, but i still think their heroes have too much history. By the time Dick Grayson’s old enough to become Nightwing Bruce should retire. On the other hand, it does beg the question who would the heroes of 2013 be?

Wally’s absence in The New 52 is unfortunate, and it needs to be addressed. Supposedly Pandora made “necessary” alterations to the time stream, so why did Wally need to be erased?

another pointless derivative character. “just like flash, only kid!” i liked wally west as flash on the jl cartoons but he was just flash

  8. Frevoli says:

The Teen Titans are some of the biggest casualties of the DC reboot; with Wally possibly being THE biggest.

His time as Kid Flash – gone
His time with the Titans – gone
His time as Flash – gone
His family and kids – gone

I think it’s because DC has stopped bothering to edit anything… So, the massive accumulation of sheer, blistering STUPID gets to be too much, and the only possible solution (Besides, you know, hiring quality writers, and Editors who won’t let them get away with complete insanity) is to reboot the entire universe every 5 minutes, or so… How many of you are aware that Jim Starlin has rebooted the entire DC Universe *since* “The New 52”?
