Creator’s Club Poster

It has been a long time since I did the last Creator's Club Poster. I have a lot on my plate right now, so The Atomic Punk has offer his services to do the poster this year. I would like to thank him for doing so. So the following information is what he requires for him to do the poster. He has laid it out nicely so please follow his instructions. He has included a sample character and also wants me to include my recipes for Chibies.

Design a Chibi version of yourself. This can be a self-portrait, an avatar, or yourself in hero (or villain!) mode. No backgrounds, just the character. e-Mail entries as PNG Transparent files to freethespam@cox.net. Preferably, send the saved Text file so I can re-size characters for consistency.

Only one entry per HeroMachiner. Please try to limit any revisions or upgrades! More than likely, I will simply use your first submission. I will be accepting entries from February 28th through March 29th. With luck, I will unveil the Creators' Club 2013 poster in mid-April.

Please name your file as [your name]-[character name].[file extension] before you e-mail it. So DiCicatriz, for instance, would save his “Bayou Belle” character image as DiCicatriz-BayouBelle.png. He would save the Text as DiCicatriz-BayouBelle.txt.

Finally, have fun! Creators' Club is not a contest. It is an opportunity to show the world how you see yourself (or what you want the world to see).

I would like to thank Atomic Punk again for doing the poster this year.

  2. Thank you, Hammerknight! Looking forward to everyone’s creations.

HK’s Chibi recipe is a reference not a requirement. Feel free to create however you wish. Just make sure that your design is recognizably “Chibi.” That is, a small body with an enlarged head and big eyes.

Please do not post your designs on the blog! That would spoil the surprise. If you have general questions, yes, post here. Someone might be wondering the same. The blog will serve as a FAQ.

I’m confused: WHO is this event open to, exactly? Does the phrase “Creator’s Club” refer to something specific, or is this open to anyone who posts here? (Because my Chibi is done already.)

@ Nick: This would be open to any and all who feel…. “worthy” I guess? Anyone who posts, uses HM, and would like to be in a poster with the other people.

Just in case you want to check out the previous version, here is the 2011 one. (We didn’t have a 2012 one):

Looking at the 2011 poster makes me think about how many of them are actually still around…maybe 16 or 17 of 48! Also, how many people aren’t on it. I’ll definitely be entering this as soon as I have a chance to make a chibi.

The Creators’ Club is open to everyone. Even if the Chibi is your first HM design!

Thanks, guys; I will be along with the picture shortly.

    Thanks guys for helping out.
@Nick, I started the Creator’s Club so that everyone could get to know each other. When we post comments here we only see words and we don’t see each other. Making and image of yourself shows everyone who you feel you are. It is not a real picture of you, I feel that it lets everyone see deeper into who you are. The Club is for everyone who creates with HM. I feel a family bond between us that you don’t see any where else on the net.

2012 was a rough year for me because of a second back surgery and all the stuff that goes with it took some creativity away from me. To tell you the truth I don’t have it all back yet that is why I have not created very many characters. Having HM has helped me in my life and I want to thank everyone for being part of our HM family. We may even start passing around the CC poster each year for other people to do. That way everyone can be seen by different eyes, other then mine.

Hope you’re back to full ‘power’ soon man.
I know it is early (a year early in fact), but I’ll put my name down to do next years CC poster. I love the idea.

Okay my bad, disreguard the entry I just sent in, I seen it said to create a Chibi version whatever that is, I sent a “normal-ish” version. I shouldn’t try to read this late at night…

  11. TOOL says:

Would it be too much to ask to get the text posted for standard Chibis so we don’t have to keep flipping back and forth to get started?

  12. Hammerknight says:

Tool, I did that recipe over 3 years ago and I don’t have the text. I will try to get something worked up, but I don’t know how long it will take.
