I need some advice about the skin complection and colore (he’s a walking corps) and if you have any other advices, they’d be welcome to.

I was just using her to practice some zypping. I’m still not confident in the technique, so I would appreciate some helpful pointers from more experienced users.

To me his skin is okay, but I’m not the best with color. A little work on the hands where they meet the arms is needed.

For a name I’d suggest either Hunter or something meaning survivor maybe?
Quick question:What else COULD you add?

Sazall is Queen of the Daemos. My aim with her is to have her strike fear into the hearts of her enemies, wondering how well I pulled it off/how to improve it.

    Okay: here are my suggestions:

    a) have the eyes glow a different color, since a menacing glare is of CRUCIAL importance. Consider yellow eyes, a la the the Sith Lords. After that, there’s a billion effects that you can try.

    b) Extend the patterning on the limbs & torso to the hands, and *maybe* the face. As it stands, I can’t quite tell if it’s her skin, or some kind of long underwear.

    c) Make the interior of her cloak a different color than red: it’s tempting to do a red-lined cape, a la Dracula, but it needs to contrast with her body, or she disappears inside it.

    d) Consider adding some jewelry or accents, however barbaric: crowns, tiaras, necklaces, bracelets, etc. If she’s a queen, she’s jolly well entitled to show off a little bling. πŸ˜‰

    Keep going!

Meanwhile, I figured that you might all want to see the progress I’ve made on the drawing(s) I submitted last week. So here’s two versions of the character, both with and without helmet:

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/huskybike/8354706009/

To re-iterate, she’s a Star Wars character, an anonymous (and actually rather nice) Mandalorian girl who gets pushed into service as a bounty hunter, on short notice.
Her clothing is a) basically upgraded and customized stormtrooper/biker scout gear, and b) intended to look vague and androgynous, not showing off her female physique, or even her heritage that clearly.
I’m pretty happy with it, but am choosing between 2 helmet designs, leaning towards the one on the left (it’s the one under her hood). I could still use some help with the little “logos” I’ve lined up on the right, since I’m trying to approximate the infamous Mandalorian skull logo. But mostly, I wanted those who helped last week to see how the character’s coming along. πŸ™‚

I decided to post what I entered for the ONE PART, MANY CHARACTERS contest…… on the forums

Improved Sazall. On the queen gets bling detail: The culture of her people is that only the most important people can uncover their face at all or grow hair (http://i891.photobucket.com/albums/ac111/Kicktar/HM/DaemosBuroura_zps52647f72.png), and only the queen can completely uncover their face, so that would be a pretty heavy indication of importance. This is a bit of an excuse I have for not having any bling on her because I can’t find anything that really fits.

@Nick: I made an attempt at the Mandalorian emblem (using this reference picture:http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080221055450/starwars/images/thumb/3/35/JaingHead.svg/250px-JaingHead.svg.png): http://i891.photobucket.com/albums/ac111/Kicktar/hm3-beta1_zpsf91b6ae9.png
Used the sickles for the tusks and sword blades for the weird dripping or whatever it is.

Not half bad! Good idea, using the sickles.

(As for what the “dripping” is in the original photo, though, I think it’s just part of the skull: it’s supposed to be some kind of dinosaur-like animal. Me, I just elongated and thinned out the skull found in “Insignia.”)

  14. Herr D says:

Guy Diga: How about using Body Zombie stitches for a ‘Y’ incision? Like he’d been through an autopsy?

Keric: I’m not sure whether it would be easier to make it look like the character turned after impact with the horseshoe having come from somewhere to the viewers right, or maybe an odd bounce brought it from further away? I do love this concept. Now that the contest is over, you might abandon some or all of the contest rules if that helps you improve it.

Herr, I think I will open it up to everybody as a redesign challenge on the forums after I judge this weeks 3 piece challenge…
