Movie Critic

Here is your chance to be a Movie Critic. Today's Movie is "Catwoman" starring Hallie Berry. Tell me your likes and dislikes, and what you would of done to make the movie better.

In my opinion, Hallie Berry is a good actress, but Catwoman she is not. Catwoman is my most loved villian/hero out there, so the movie fell way short. I didn't even like the plot of the movie. I have not seen the new Batman movie yet so I can not say how the new Catwoman holds up.

Starting next week Kaldath and I are in hopes of having a more scheduled week laid out for you. So today knock yourself out, let's hear what you have to say about the movie at hand.

I actually like this idea, and hope it continues. The only problem is that I’ve only watched about 10 minutes of Catwoman (I came in partway through), and switched to something else when I saw how ridiculous the action scenes were.
I mean, I’ve seen movies with weak premises, shoddy writing, bad acting, etc, which still look pretty with fancy special effects and epic action scenes. Catwoman couldn’t even do that right.

I have seen only half of Catwoman and I can categorically say there are only one movie I have ever enjoyed less, Batman & Robin. Worst of all, my sister thinks it’s a good movie and she has the worst taste in movies EVER!!!!!!

Beyond the fact that it was badly written and performed – Sharon Stone chewing the scenery – it was just badly conceived. It had virtually nothing to do with the Catwoman people had come to love as a complex villain/hero, but the stellar performance by Michelle Pfeiffer was still fresh in fan’s minds. It was a re-imagining of a character that is so interesting at her core, that they quite simply conceived a less interesting version. It ended up being a huge case of who cares.

I put this on the list of “DC movies I will never see” along with Constantine and Steel. And there was a time when I would see any comic related movie that came out. I even saw Tank Girl. In the theater.

Well in my case, since im not a native english speaker, i saw the dub version back in the day. It has is pro and con. Really good movie tend to be drag down. On the up side howewer, really bad one come off better. While Cat Women, even dubbed was not a strong story. It was atleast enjoyable.

oh where to start with this one…

firstly, it’s misleading – it’s not about Catwoman, it’s about A catwoman. It’s like they decided to do a Tangent universe verison (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tangent_Comics#Interaction_with_the_main_DC_Universe)

So it’s basically a woman with cat powers (which apparently include walking on walls) going after the archetype steroetypical evil corperate person… and they don’t even have fun with it – she’s totally forgetable.

It’s just… there’s nothing there worth the effort

I was left wondering when was the real movie going to start.

That’s one of the comic book movies that I would never watch. Since it came out, I’ve read a lot of negative comments about it, so, it happens to be one of those movies that I know sucks without ever haveing seen it.
