Happy Saturday, folks! Your one-day quick-fire challenge is inspired by my buddy Dave, who makes really cool real-world jewelry from recycled comic book panels. Thus, your mission today is:
Design an awesome piece of jewelry in HeroMachine!
You only get one entry -- that's right, just one! So make it your best. Most of the other rules are the same as for a regular contest, but instead of a whole week I'll announce the winner either tonight or tomorrow morning. No elaborate backgrounds or characters, all I want is the piece of jewelry. If you need to include a body part to illustrate its position, that's ok, but the star of the illustration must be the item itself, not whatever it's on.
- All entries must be in JPG or PNG form (BMPs are too big), posted to a publicly accessible website (like ImageShack, PhotoBucket, the HeroMachine Forums, whatever);
- Entries must be made as a comment or comments to this post, containing a link directly to the image and the character name;
- Please name your files as [your name]-[character name].[file extension]. So DiCicatriz, for instance, would save his "Bayou Belle" character image as DiCicatriz-BayouBelle.png.
- Please make the link go directly to the image (like this) and not to a hosting jump page (like this). Here's a quick-start guide on how to do that for various image hosting services.
The winner will receive their choice of either one item or one portrait to be included in the final HeroMachine 3 release, or one Sketch of the Day style drawing where you pick the subject and I draw it how I like.
I made a set of jewellery rather than just one piece. Hope that’s OK. I’d have made earrings as well but couldn’t figure out how to have them showing with the hairstyle I used.
A choker adorned with silver and rubies.
None of the rings are linked to each other, yet they are all inextricably connected.
Simple work. Nothing difficult in this.
Nothing hard in this piece, and i don’t have much time to make something difficult.
Steam punk Gear Arm for us ppl who are steam punk this is jewely
My attempt to make an amulet :
a priest’s holy symbol
Had to make this quick.
The Tiara of Morning Dawn
(Tiaras are still jewelry, right? That’s what Amazon tells me).
Thought to be magic, the Tiara of Morning Dawn seems to glow with an inner brightness when worn during the Spring Welcoming Ceremony by the Morning Princess. Don’t believe it though. It’s a well crafted piece of gold and crystal, but there isn’t an ounce of magic in its construction.
Tiara of the princess.
inlays of gold, lapis lazuli, onyx, and set rubies and moonstones in a silver crown.
This is the ceremonial jewelry set for the Hawk King.
Sorry I had saved it wrongly when I exported it and uploaded it
I do not know whether to call it jewelry … But this mask is made of pure gold and precious stones. As an example, the famous mask of Agamemnon. So it is quite jewelery.
One thing I need to learn is how to get the really nice glow that some here are able to do.
The Amulet of the Skull
I created a whole set (almost, no headpiece). The color scheme can be changed to fit the character as well as the pattern.
The Ring of Ghuul. A ring of terrible power which contains the life essence of an ancient lich lord. Now with the mysterious disappearance of its owner, the ring travels the realms from wearer to wearer. At first perceived as a small metal skull, when it finds a worthy owner the skull becomes animated and latches its teeth onto its new master, becoming irremovable.
Human Heart In Ice Pendant.
There’s no better gift to show your affecton for that special someone in your life.

I see my error, now. I should have, since no char required, made a glass, diamond, and clear sapphire bikini.
OK folks, contest closed, I’m assembling the entries now.
