My first comic book store had 100 year old hard wood floors, smelled of old paper, had a case for dice, and was run by the comic book guy from the Simpsons. Now, THAT was a comic book store.

I don’t really have a comic book store as such. Herein the UK, I go to a shop called Forbidden Planet, but that is for everything in the “geek” world. From Dr Who, Twilight, Marvel, DC, Wrestling, Star Wars, everything! But all that is wasted on me ’cause I just buy batman Graphic Novels. Sick store though!

Best I’ve got is WHSmith’s ’cause my nearest Forbidden Planet is about 20 miles away. Marvel and DC just sell the stories collected into what they call ‘collector’s editions’ (which is more convenient than buying them off eBay). Only thing is, I’m now really behind on stories, especially DC- but that’s what the internet’s for!
