As you can see from the new header link, HeroMachine Classic (version 1.1) is now available for use here as well. It's kind of fun to see how far the program has come in ten years. That's right, the copyright date on that bad boy is 2002. How time flies!
Do you all want to see the other "mini" versions here as well, like the Pinup Creator and such?
Also, note how crappy the logo was before Friend of HeroMachine and Best Buddy John Hartwell did a professional makeover on it. That guy is a stud!
Lets see them all. Be proud of your babies.
I second that.
wow, classic one
Don’t forget “Shakti Warriors” http://www.shaktiwarriors.com/public/swf/heromachine/editCharacter.php
Aaahh, I remember this bad boy!!!
I remember stumbling across this back in 2002, and have been hooked ever since.
Might go have a little play with 1.1 for old times sake.
How ’bout a 2-part character contest. Make a character with classic or 2.5 and then the next week update with HM 3. Gets any newer users a chance to play with the older programs and vets some retro time. Also brings up any bugs or glitches to the surface. GAME ON!
Hey Jeff, when you click on the link on the sidebar you go to the UGO site for the classic and to yours when you click the link above….
i third hammerknight
Modern Warrior Mini doesn’t really need to make its way here as it was just the test bed for HM3 and everything in it has been put in HM3, but the Pinup, Rockstar, and Horror mini’s should be here.
I’d love to see that one here also, however I think it is owned by the folks at ShaktiWarriors.com
Kaldath is correct, the Shakti Warrior version is owned by those folks, so I can’t host it here.
That’s an interesting idea, ams, thanks!
Oops, still getting used to this nested reply thing — Kaldath is correct, the Shakti Warrior folks own that mini and have the exclusive right to host it.
I’ve enjoyed having you along for the ride, Scorp! You were probably the first person who did a project so vast I was blown away.
Cheers Jeff, I really appreciate it.
How about the Lordi version? To me, it was the second best before HM3 came.
I don’t think I can do Lordi, as (if I recall correctly) the band actually owns it.
I fourth Hammerknight and second ams. 🙂
I remember this, I ran across it long ago as a kid but didnt really know what it was or was about, I would create characters and then just delete them, I didnt know I could save or chat. I looked at the V1 and V2.5, brings back memories. I just recently, over the last what year and as half, got involved and recognized I guess you could say.
Whats the lordi version?
Hey, what happened to my picture???
I still like HM better than any other engine I have seen or heard of.
Oh, there it is 🙂
It is a Version of Heromachine contracted by the band Lordi. It uses alot of items that are Copy Righted to the band. It is Horror themed as the band itself is thusly themed. Whatever objects that were not Band copy righted made it into the HM Horror edition.
Shakti Warrior is a Version of Heromachine, and despite the limited choice of objects was my favorite version of the program until HM3 came along mostly because I believe it hand a better set of poses them hm2.5 including children poses. Jeff made the program however as stated above it is owned by the folks at ShaktiWarriors.com . You can check it out at the link AMS provided.
