CDC #398 – #LilyStrong

Lily is an amazing young woman. She is the daughter of one of my co-workers – and one of my best friends – Shelly. Lily loves her little sister Scarlet , her dog, crafting, sloths, and The Big Bang Theory.

Currently, Lily is at MacMaster Children’s Hospital, going through her fourth round of chemo treatment for leukemia. Her room is packed full of plush animals, the walls decorated with craft and art projects, and her IV pole is decorated as, and nicknamed, Dr. Sheldon Cooper.

So your CDC Challenge this week is to create a kick@$$ female superhero, featuring the hashtag LilyStrong. Make them teen friendly, and feel free to make them bald. Lily's sister shaved her head in solidarity, and one of her t-shirts is emblazoned with the catch phrase “No Hair…Don’t Care!”

Let’s brighten her day, the Heromachine way!

This week there will be no winner announced. This week it is all about #LilyStrong

  • No copyrighted characters please – they will be deleted.

This contest will close at 6pm Eastern on Sunday, January 27th.

  1. If it wouldn’t violate too much privacy can you reveal the approximate ages of Lily and Scarlet?

  2. 12 and 10

  3. And Lily is older?

  4. Been a while since I entered a contest, but I got a spark of inspiration from this weeks theme.

Hope Lili can kick Leukemia into remission as soon as possible.

JR, I really love yours. Well done. Made me smile. 🙂

  6. The name “Lily Strong” immediately made me think of a character that was something like a female cross between Tom Strong and the original Captain Marvel, a young girl, who upon uttering the magic word (in this case her own superhero name), transformed into the adult physical embodiment of her inner strength: “Lily Strong”. She should also be a member of a super-family, so, her sister scarlet, uttering the magic word gets a reflection of that power.

So far, I only have Lily Strong:

Still planning out Scarlet (which is already the name of a couple of superheroines in my super world.)

  7. REMEDY

Lilly…also known as…Remedy, has the super power of healing any injury, ailment, condition, or disease.
She flies around the world helping anyone in need.
