Hey guys, JR here. I'm filling i for djuby for a bit on the CDC's whilst he's in hospital (you can find more info on that here if need be).
Anyway, your challenge for this week is to create your own disposable personal army of faceless grunts, goons and/ or other non-specified subordinates that any prospective super-villain could use as cannon fodder the next thime a superhero shows up to foil their evil scheme for world domination. Your minions can be human, alien or robotic (though preferably not small, yellow or tic-tac shaped for obvious reasons).
Rules for posts, contests, and challenges: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. Please keep all submissions PG13: full or partial nudity is prohibited. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warning. Only post characters that have been created solely using Hero Machine, and that you know for certain have never been entered in a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.
All entries must be in JPG or PNG form (BMPs are too big), posted to a publicly accessible website (like the HeroMachine :,ImageShack, DeviantArt, or whatever - Please do not use Photobucket);
- Entries must be made as a comment or comments to this post, containing a link directly to the image and the character name;
- Please name your filesas [your name]-[character name].[file extension] before you upload it. So DiCicatriz, for instance, would save his “Bayou Belle” character image as DiCicatriz-BayouBelle.png.
Please make the link go directly to the image (like this) and not to a hosting jump page (like this). *
This contest will close on Sunday, August 27th at 9:00am Eastern.
I haven’t entered the Imperial Soldiers into a contest before, so let’s go with them.

Workplace commissar robots of the future. They are legion. Make sure you are happy, a rockstar, a team player, and are making the world a better place. Or else.

How do you add so many creations to one picture? It’s one thing I have never figured out other than thinking using an outside application.
The planet these aliens hail from is a military dictatorship. This is a member of the dictator’s royal guard. They are heavily equipped and extremely dangerous (made more so by their enhances speed, strength, agility, and senses.) Oh yeah. They are virtually invincible.

@Ubiquitous Pixel- You can create characters in seperate save files then you can click a little check box at the bottom of the Load Character screen that says “Keep Current Items”, which means you load a character whilst also keeping the current character you are working on. You might want to move the characters into position first as it’s impossible to bulk move items for one character and not the other. But that’s the only way I know of doing multiple characters in heromachine without doing it in one save from the start.
The Agents of Chaos. Serving under the villain Chaos, the Agents have one goal: Turn the people of the world against each other so that the planet is enveloped in lawlessness of anarchy. To accomplish this, they will do anything. Fake terrorist attacks on government buildings, and frame other governments, cut phone and electrical lines, destroy water and sewage pipes, kill random people, and frame it on the neighbor, shoot everyone at a kid’s birthday party. Although the one pictured uses a bomb, the Agents use virtually any weapon you can imagine (real or made up).

The Red Mercenaries :
if you are a warlord in need of some firepower, or a billionaire in search of ruthless bodyguards, or a megalomaniac wanting a private army …. who you gonna call?

As it happens, my Superworld contains a group with costumed minions already: The Society of the Black Hand, the very first enemeies of the very first costumed vigilante to emerge in that world: Bette Noir. When Bette first encountered them, they were just an organized crime family based out of Chicago, but as costumed heroes proliferated, they too adopted a uniform. By the “Silver Age”, the Minion-level outfit looks like this:

The organization as a whole can be seen here:
http://eldacur.com/~brons/Comics/Brons-TheBlackHandSociety.png
In the center front we have the Capo, to his right (our left) is his chief enforcer, known only as “The Hand” or occasionally, “The Black Hand” or “Mano”. To his right is the sinister #3, Sinister. (sorry about that. I couldn’t help myself.) The shadowy back double row is there to indicate that the minions of the Society are too numerous to show completely, as good minions should be.
The original Mano was Bette’s first target, having murdered her aunt’s lover at the behest of the Capo of the time. Having eliminated The Hand, and a few minions, she went after the Head and the organization as a whole.
I’m not sure that they quite count, but in my Superworld, the minions of The Iron Ninja all wear the same uniform, but different masks, so they aren’t truly faceless or at least aren’t uniformly faceless. There is a hoard of them, and if any are killed, they are replaced by another wearing the same mask. Your call as to whether they count. Here he is with 5 masked men (well, the current Noh is a woman, but they are still called The Masked Men):

The composition is a work in progress destined for my HM3 covers collection. I hope the lettering is OK.
Ok guys, this weeks contest is closed. The results will be up shortly.
