I am sure I've done "Comic TWART" in my Saturday "Things I Like" segment before, but this is "Minimalist Week" and I absolutely love everything they've done. It's well worth a few minutes of your weekend browsing time to check out their creations.
My favorite is probably this "Minimalist Fantastic Four" by Tom Fowler:
All of them inspire me to want to come up with something similar of my own. If you have a creation you think would qualify as "super-hero minimalism", I'd love to see it! Post a link in the comments and we'll all have a jolly time that's exactly the bare amount of jolly and time needed to establish jolliness.

Okay, so. This is not quite as minimalistic as the example above, since it is hard to resist the siren call of all the fancy stuff packed into Hero Machine 3.
I will call this “Minimalist X-Men Relationships” (’cause heck, you could get one of those “Where’s Waldo” pictures out of Summers family tree alone!).
Image here.
Above, Nightcrawler and Wolverine. Those two have been pretty close, after all.
Colossus, Kitty and Storm. Kitty is touched by the both characters.
Cyclops, Emma Frost and Phoenix, the strange triangle and dynamic. What is in that Scott attracts telepaths? Is he some kind of relaxing telepathic nullzone or what? Anyway, there you have it.
The lone atom is the Beast — even if he’s blue, furry and bruiser — science is his forte. And now he’s drifting away from the X-Men because of recent stuff going on.
I tried actually doing some actual drawing for my minimalist effort. One of my favorite DC characters (I’m still upset about him getting killed), Ted Kord, the Blue Beetle.

I made this guy like, a week ago…?
He’s pretty minimal right?
I’ll give this a go.
Guess who this is:

@Skiri: The icons for Nightcrawler and Cyclops are best.
@Myro: Just the right shade of blue for contrast. Can’t believe they killed the Beetle.
@Nicholas: I would consider him minimal and pretty rad. The sai is a little distracting.
Thanks T.A.P! Also I like the use of the glow. Looked pretty neat. 😀

Spider Man
first one that came to mind
Silver Surfer
knowing their was a surfboard in HM3 it seemed like a no-brainer
Kazar & Zabu
yes I had fun making these of near naked men LOL
a little more detail on this one, which could be a flaw, but I LOVE how easy it is to tell that’s Kazar LOL with just hair a knife and a loin cloth
and just had to do a fanged tribble for Zabu
Prince Namor the Sub-Mariner
I actually made this one before Kazar and Zabu.
Flash
I started to put a little yellow dot on the red, but decided to keep it real simple
Lightning Lad
second one I made, but tried to make sure I didn’t resort to a bunch of their symbols as the Miminmalist portraits, since the example didn’t have 3 4s but colored shapesm but I thought doing a lightning bolt for Lightning Lad was appropriate
@Cliff: I like your Silver Surfer. At first, it looked more like a silver pawn. But then I notice that you masked the surfboard.
Hate to copy, but your nod to Silver Surfer did inspire. The Fallen Herald protecting earth from the Devourer of Worlds:
