Horror Edition Beta

I've just put up the HeroMachine "Horror Edition" beta up, which you can find here. Let me know what you think of it, features you'd like to see, things that aren't working, etc. Here's a sample character I made up while checking things out, sort of a "Zombie out on the town" sort of thing.

I took a lot of the recommendations people made in the last post about things like big chunks of missing skin (which you can see in the sample above), eye sockets missing eyeballs, separate skull pieces in the Head slot, and much more. It's already over the 1MB mark, so I don't know how much more I can comfortably add to it, but by all means holler if there's something you really wanted but don't see.

Caption: “So do you think this is a good look for me?”

I like where this is going. Everything looks pretty cool so far. Few things I’d love to see:
Werewolf stuff and a complete set of bone armor, ie like the necromancer in Diablo 2.

you need soe more pant like just a normal pair of trousers

  4. Whit says:

    Missing some nice orc-like mouths.

  5. Blue Blazer says:

I’d like to see some wicked headgear, like medeival helmets and such. Also some hair, and a backplane category with demonic wings and tails and such.

The position of the feet are look weird, also need a complete face. Agree with Blue Blazer about the headgear, hair and a backplane category. It also some more hand positions.
I love the skull face plate and the should pads (see Character)

  7. DJ says:

Love it! Though one question…was the sleeveless trench coat a request by the clients? 🙂

  8. The Imp says:

The one thing that bugs me about this (and the warrior mini too) is that the figure is too small to really make out a lot of the excellent detail you’ve put into each item.

Agree with Blazer, there needs to be helmets, etc. Also would be nice to see some demonic wings…

Jeff i can’t wait till the horror and warrior pieces are interchangeable the horror is great but could use hair and beards

    I’m loving it – I haven’t had this much fun since Play-Dough.

But I noticed one flaw: The hood, the second-to-last item in heads, apparently has no back.

  11. Fabien says:

A torned hood would be somme useful.

  12. Whit says:

Never mind, I found the tusks.

I love the beta version so far, really cool stuff. Just a couple things though:
    1. Not alot of options as far as the body goes. In the warrior mini, you could have separate options for arms, chest, legs, etc. So you could have a guy with six arms, or a guy with one huge leg and a skinny leg, etc. What I think would be really cool for the horror mini is monster body parts, like the lower half of a snake, a ghost tail, spider legs, stuff like that. More hands/hand poses would be nice, too.
    2. No backplane items. 🙁 missing out on alot of cool things there, like wings, capes, tails, various mutagious growths, etc. I had to improvise a solid black cloak for a demon warlock of mine by back laying a couple of shirt items.
    3. Don’t think theres enough headgear/head-related items. You have alot of cool facial items, but not much by the way of actual headgear. Could use some helmets, face masks, ears as well.
    4. And, like any Heromachine junkie like myself would say, WE NEEDS MOAR ITEMS! Can never have enough items! But I understand space is limited.
Regardless, I still think that the Horror Mini (and the Warrior Mini) is awesome!
