Expansion bug updates

I have now fixed all of the bugs from the Big List that can be fixed. Or at least, that can be fixed by me; I'm sure a better Flash developer could repair the LeftHand load bug, for instance. I want to thank everyone who took the time to post errors, having everything all in one place made the whole process much, much easier. You guys rule! Note that the fixes won't be live until the final 2.5 update, hopefully next week.

I'll now be moving on to copying over some of the component genre sets into other components. Here's what I am thinking so far (edited to add new stuff per the comments section):

  1. Copy Coats-Standard into Overshirts.
  2. Copy Coats-CapeFronts into Overshirts.
  3. Copy Coats-CapeFronts into Undershirts.
  4. Copy Coats-FantasyArmor into Overshirts.
  5. Copy Coats-FantasyArmor into Undershirts.
  6. Copy Coats-FantasyCommon into Overshirts.
  7. Copy Coats-FantasyCommon into Undershirts.
  8. Copy Overshirts-Standard into Coats.
  9. Copy Leggings-Standard into Overleggings.
  10. Copy Leggings-Standard into Pants.
  11. Copy Overleggings-Standard into Leggings.
  12. Copy Overleggings-Standard into Pants.
  13. Copy Pants-Standard into Leggings.
  14. Copy Pants-Standard into Overleggings.
  15. Copy Back-Standard into Wings.
  16. Copy Back-Standard into Tails.
  17. Copy Wings-Standard into Back.
  18. Copy Wings-Standard into Tails.
  19. Copy Tail-Standard into Back.
  20. Copy Tail-Standard into Wings.
  21. Copy Companion-Standard into Back.
  22. Copy Companion-Standard into Wings.
  23. Copy Companion-Standard into Tail.
  24. Copy Background-Expansion1 into Back.
  25. Copy Background-Expansion1 into Wings.
  26. Copy Background-Expansion1 into Tail.
  27. Copy Neckwear-Shoulders into Coats.
  28. Copy Neckwear-Shoulders into Overshirt.
  29. Copy Neckwear-Shoulders into Undershirt.

If there are other components you're dying to have, by all means please speak up, preferably in the comments to this post so everything's in one place. Each one of these duplications is easier than coming up with a whole new batch, but I do still have to manually position everything for three out of the six templates. I finally wised up halfway through developing this thing and started putting all components in the same spot so I could just cut and paste without repositioning, but it was too late for the first three.

Copying The Right Glove Standard and Expansion into Right Hand, and the same for the Left hand gloves into the Left Hand section

  2. Eric says:

How about Masks – Expansion1 into Headgear?

  3. Kaldath says:

Oh … This would most likely be WAY TO MUCH work to get done, but if possible I’d like to see the Insignias copied into the headgear section so that you could place them on Masks .. but as I said that is most like too much work having to resize them, them manually place them for all six body types.

How About 4 And 3 Fingered Hands And Feet?

This may be a little late to post requests for new items but for the future at least, having robotic arms so that you could create cyborg characters would be awsome! Also more long swords because right now there are only 4 or 5 swords that are long. Like I said this is probably too late to be added now but for the future at least. Heromachine rocks!!!!

i Jeff. Is it possible to move the belts into another section- (back maybe?) I would like to have a couple of belts on some of my characters.

  7. Scorpidius says:

    Hi Jeff (again!)

Looking at that list, is it also possible to copy the fantasy armour and fantasy casual into different sections, some of these work great together but are not possible without photoshoping.

  8. Kaldath says:

Ok here’s another thought, might want to consider copying the Masks and headgear stuff over to the Hair section and Vise Versa

  9. Kaldath says:

Also, I wouldn’t Mind seeing the beards copied to another section somewhere, as I often use the Beards to make better looking long hair style. I would sometimes like to have those hairstyle styles as well as make the character bearded.

  10. Brad says:

I have to agree with moving Fantasy Armor and Fantasy Common into other slots. Oftentimes I’ve thought about putting the armor sleeve and spiked pauldrons on the same character, and I would love to have that option opened up at last. And the beards copied somewhere for more hair with beards is very interesting. Aside from that, I can only suggest possibly moving the standard neckwear into the masks and/or headgear area. Good God, Jeff, are you insane? Leaving a request forum open like this? 😉 Guess not since you make the ultimate decision.

  11. Jeff Hebert says:

OK, I can see the FantasyArmor and FantasyCommon stuff, that makes sense. Considering the length of the list, I think I am going to nix the belts and beards, those just don’t seem as compelling to me. We’ll see how long this list takes and go from there.

    Thanks for the input, guys!

  12. Kaldath says:

Nixing the Beards is no biggie, I never expected you’d do everything that was suggested, that would be a major work load!! But the more suggestions you get the better idea you’ll have on what you do want to work on 😀

I’d love to have a big boom box either as a ‘companion’ or as a hand held item. I thought there was one, once upon a time, but, I can seem to find it….

  14. Jason says:

If possible, could you make a section to include the earrings and earbugs(the ones without ears) into masks and/or headgear so that you can give some of the fantasy/alien ears some bling without needing to draw entirely new ears.

    Hi Jeff

Don’t know if i am too late or not, but what are the chances of having coat items, overshirt items, pants items etc, incorporated into the say “aura, background, companion” sections. This way we could use extra coat items without sacrificing the overshirt items. There are a few times i would love to use a couple of coat items over an undershirt and overshirt item. Maybe putting these in the sections that do not get used as much will open so many more possibilities.
