POP QUIZ – SPIRITS OF AUTUMN

I had JUST created a portrait of my new Pathfinder character, Forest

the Satyr. so for the contest I crowned him King of the Autumal

Equinox for the Mabon festival last Thursday, Sept 22, 2016  although

many celebrated on Saturday(or Satyrday as I like to call it), being a

weekend.

Mood Music: Lisa Thiel – Mabon (Autumn Equinox)

ENTRY:
Mabon (Autumn Equinox)
Artist: Lisa Thiel
Album: Circle Of The Seasons
# song: 08

Lyrics

O now is the time of the Harvest,
As we draw near to the years end
Now is the time of Mabon
Autumn is the time to descend

Old Woman waits patiently for us
At the threshold of the labyrinth within
She offers her hand that we may understand
The treasures that await at journeys end

O Great Mother has given of Her body,
We give thanks for Her fruit and Her grain
We then clear the fields so that next harvests yields
Will be full and abundant again.

Old Woman leads us through the darkness
Our most ancient and trusted of friends
She carries the light of spiritual insight
And leads us to our wisdom once again

And as we journey through the darkness
And as we continue to descend
We learn to let go of what obscures our soul
And re-discover our true being in the end

O now is the time of the Harvest,
As we draw near to the years end
Now is the time of Mabon
Autumn is the time to descend

Old Woman waits patiently for us
At the threshold of the labyrinth within
She offers her hand that we may understand
The treasures that await at journeys end

O Great Mother has given of Her body,
We give thanks for Her fruit and Her grain
We then clear the fields so that next harvests yields
Will be full and abundant again.

Old Woman leads us through the darkness
Our most ancient and trusted of friends
She carries the light of spiritual insight
And leads us to our wisdom once again

And as we journey through the darkness
And as we continue to descend
We learn to let go of what obscures our soul
And re-discover our true being in the end

O now is the time of the Harvest,
As we draw near to the years end
Now is the time of Mabon
Autumn is the time to descend

From djuby:
First off, I have to give a shout out to this week’s honourable mention Wood Nymph by Brons. The ombre effect and print in the sheer gown is really top notch work.

And now to this week’s winning entry Autumn Satyr by Cliff. More of the fine work we have come to expect. Well done you!

Thanks to all who entered.

JUST FOR  FUN

I had wanted a satyr for the Pathfinder game, but my GM could only find fawn.
Well my GM finally found Satyrs instead of Fauns

Faun are 3rd level fey and my character Aulos was 1st level bard, so 4th level which is about the average of the party

SATYRS are 8th level Fey due to their iate music spells
so instead of making Aulos suddenly a 8th lvl Satyr, this will be a new character … Forest.

So here is Forest my Satyr character for the Pathfinder game (now on Thursday and Fridays, so don’t expect to see me post on those day heh).

I sorta based  him off Dweezil Zappa which we use as a character in our Haunted RPG. His nickname in that game has been Rock Satyr. heh heh

@Herr D, Had not considered radio waves, but I think that gets too far away from color for him. Kewl idea though.
Glad you like the pics. Thanks.
And the comic never went into what the original of the light that struck him was. DEFINATELY something for me to deal with in my incarnation of him. Great idea. Thanks again.

@DiCicatriz

Thanks.
Fabulous you checked out my site!
and glad you like Size Queen and Kaleidoscope Kid.

I have plans for a lot more Kaleidoscope Kid aka Hugh Spectrum.
Even have quite a few done,
but I want to post them in order and I still have to create others to fill in the gaps.

I also have some general plans laid wout for the GLA (Gay Lesbian Association) comic that Size Queen is in.

She looks very cool! I especially love the shading on her face (those are some seriously sharp cheekbones) and how you put the armour together

@Herr D: Ahh. Well, it’s kind of an aberration 😉

It makes me happy to think that some people still venture into this dark corner of the internet to behold the weirdness.
