The Comet: Since touching a comet containing some unknown substance at the age of nine, she has had the powers of flight, extreme speed, and extreme strength (her flight is faster than her running). Just a little older than Ember now, she was the only original All-Star who had just finished training at the swordsman’s facility. Originally the color scheme was red, white, and blue, but I ultimately decided to give the outfit a more consistent comet motif by using just shades of blue and light grey (and white).
Update of Ember’s shading: still not great, but I think it’s better (I gave up on the face for now.)
Thank you, Suleman. I will take your advice on the flames. The problem with the nose is a shading thing, not a color thing. The color was fine until I shaded the face.
For advice on the nose (literally), I recommend swapping the colors. Right now, it sticks out from the rest of the face (heh) in a bad way. The default color order for noses is just generally wrong, in my opinion. Could just be my personal taste, though
As for shading, this is not a bad start. One important thing to remember is that Ember’s flames are also a light source! That will affect the rest of the shading. You can use the same circular gradients that you use in shading to add a glow to the flames, for instance. That will also mean that e.g. this guy’s lower arms will be brighter than his upper arms, since the lower arms are closer to the flames.
You continue to amaze me. The way you constructed the pose from different body parts is pretty phenomenal.
Thanks! Thats actually more-or-less how I do most of my non-standard poses; I look for pieces that have a contour I want rather than to represent a full body part.
Hahah! I love it! And yes, there’s a really fun juxtaposition there of luchador-level gaudy wrestler showmanship and 1%-lookin spectators! Makes me think this is some kind of high-stakes underground type thing.
Alrighty, took me a while, but here’s the second issue!

Next Issue: Mr. Nobody!
On now movie fights Star wars 9.

Ember: Ember was an ordinary college student. Then, one day, he was caught in a freak accident which gave him flight and flame manipulation abilities (including pyrokinesis). He is younger than the other All-Stars, was only briefly trained by the swordsman’s teachers (although this is partially because he learned how to control his powers very easily), and joined the All-Stars a couple years late. He tends to quip a lot more than the others, although this is primarily to mask his depression. This is my first time ever using shading. Please give me some advice on the nose.
