CDC #416 – Team Building – Volume 2 – Part 4 – Results

Great job again this week folks

Honourable mentions go out to Greggory Basore and Mark Williams.

Greggory: Love the top half of the costume, the bottom half seems less resolved.

Mark: Like the costume, love the hair, hate the whip mostly because it disappears inside the corset. Just my opinion. Watch your layers.

Tied for 2nd place this week are AMS and Worf.

Choosing between the top three was really tough this week.

AMS: really well thought out. The face is lovely and the hat is a great touch. Shading is spectacular, as usual.

Worf: really like the stance and the attempt to display her powers. She is, however, a bit overdressed to my eye. The hair and boots are amazing!

And the win this week goes to...

Poll Position: Best Superhero Film Of All Time

Ok, so after our last poll ranking all of the MCU movies from worst to best, I thought it would be a good idea to revisit another old List we did a few years ago, this time from 2016. So, this time we're looking at what the best superhero film is. Considering the number of superhero films that have been released, this should be a good one. We're talking anything superhero, from Superman and Captain America's WW2 propaganda films, through Batman's 1966 film, to the 70's Superman films, Batman's 80's/ 90's efforts (if you feel sadistic enough to nominate any of his 90's output), to the 2000's revival through to the MCU and DCEU. We're including both live action and animated, as well as anything not Marvel or DC, so The Mask, Hellboy and the Crow are all fair game, as are both Incredibles films.

Rules: You can add your own entries to this poll, but only once a day.  I've started us off with 10 random films, but you can add any superhero film you like, just as long as it's not already on the list and you must leave a comment saying why you think the film you've added should be in the top 10 of all time. You can vote for up to 5 movies a day and the poll is open until the 7th of June.

CDC #416 – Team Building – Volume 2 – Part 4

The premise of this contest is that over the next number of weeks we will build a team of superheroes and a team of villains. Each week I will supply you with a role, name, or list of powers of one of the team members and you will use HM3 to create the character. The winner each week will win a version of their character created on HM by yours truly.

Your challenge this week is to design the villain teams’ second in command.

When Seth met Natalie Luxford he fell hard for her. Employed at a seedy strip club, Natalie managed to keep most of her clothes on, and still made more money than any of the other girls. She modelled herself after people like Bettie Page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bettie_Page and Dita Von Teese https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dita_Von_Teese , her performances harking back to the classic ladies of burlesque. After sharing a bottle of Jack with Seth one night after her show, she spilled the beans to him on how she made so much money; from a young age Nat had the ability to control the minds of others, altering their perception of reality. This explained why Seth had woken up so many mornings to discover that the previous evening’s take was gone. He was smitten…and intrigued. He could see how having Nat around could be very useful in recruiting his team as well as in committing crime. When he asked Nat to join him, the promise of a partnership that could make her rich was just too good to pass up. She adopted the moniker Pin Up and became not only Seth’s partner, but in many ways his protector.

CDC #415 – Team Building – Volume 2 – Part 3 – Results

Last week you were charged with the task of creating the hero team's speedster. And man oh man, you guys did not disappoint.

Honourable mention this week goes to Kellkin. Really like the simplicity of the costume, and the creative masking of the lightning bolts.

Runner-up this week goes to AMS. Love the fact that you made him look younger and resubmitted him. The care you put into your work shows every single time you create something. Damn near a "threepeat".

The List: Every MCU Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

So, 2 weeks ago I asked you guys to vote on what you thought was the best movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so we could update our list from 2 years ago (you can find the poll here and the oringal list here). The spoiler embargo for Endgame is well and truely over, so if you haven't seen it, or any of the movies on this list then a) spoilers and b) go watch them. Now lets get into the ranking, starting at the bottom (as voted for by you guys) and making our way to the top.

While speaking at an International Justice symposium in Berlin, Totem was made aware of a very special local boy. 16 year old Eriq von Stroh was born with the gift of supersonic speed. Orphaned at 12, he turned to stealing to feed himself, but when he inadvertently broke up a human trafficking ring by busting through the wrong door, his future was sealed. A local newspaper nicknamed him MACH 20 and he attained almost instant celebrity status. He is wilful, and quick to anger, but was equally quick to take Totem’s guiding hand when it was offered. He now battles evil at her side around the world as MACH20.

CDC #414 – Team Building – Volume 2 – Part 2 – Results

Good turn out this week folks!

Honourable mention this week goes to Kellkin. The mask is great, but I find some of the elements, ie. multiple spikes and belts, unnecessary.

Runner up this week is Ubiquitous Pixel. Once again, the mask is beautiful, and I love the cape. The stance and shading are also well done. My only criticism is the same as it was for Kellkin; some areas start to look "busy".  Just my opinion.

And the win this week goes to...
