Here’s another avatar request from a Shadowrun forum member. Was supposed to look like your average corp wage-slave, a grey-man if you will, nothing particularly challenging or interesting in the work. Just here for completeness’ sake.

My wife’s a big AiW fan, so I made her this real quick-like today.

Also, if you were unsure, he is a public domain character…

Here’s the latest in my story-telling line… This one was quite a bit of fun. Hope you like!

(P.S. similar to the dragoon knight, you’d have to right-click and go to “View Image” to see the whole thing…)

Decided it was about time to do a self-portrait, so this happened…

    Thanks, Hammerknight!

Now that I’ve started making things again, I realize I missed it quite a bit.

Next in line here I have this dragoon knight. This is mainly just a proof of concept to myself… doesn’t particularly thrill me except for the saddle, especially with the losses incurred going through photobucket – but what are ya gonna do? Still figured it’s worth sharing.

So, turns out I found some things I wanted to do.

This one’s not a hero portrait, per se (perhaps more like a villain?), just a story in a picture. Enjoy.

    Hey all!

So, when last you heard from me it was I guess about 9 months ago and I was HM3ing up a storm. Well, at that time I was unemployed so it was great I didn’t have anything better to do, but then right around the last time you heard from me, I got a job. And between that and other life events, I’ve been too preoccupied to do anything new, and I basically just stopped making Heroes. Well, I’ve come back with a new one.

Here’s an NPC from the campaign I’m running. Basically she’s a young Sioux girl who has an affinity for speaking with spirits of man, as well as reading minds. Nothing particularly interesting or complex about it, more just a little vignette meant to tell a small bit of a story…

Hopefully, I’ll have the time and inspirado to be around a bit more often.

Here’s the results of my latest avatar request. I actually dabbled (ever so slightly) in highlights and masking with this one, which admittedly has made me want to go back and revise some works… I got kind of lazy with the background but, what are ya gonna do? Also, it was my first dwarf (non-standard human proportions) so that was a fun challenge.

You could use some work on layer order and use of hands, otherwise really great stuff.

Yeah, looking back at some of the early ones, there are some things that bother me here and there but I think it’s worth preserving their flawed states http://www.heromachine.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

I finished this one a couple days ago, but it is another avatar request from a forum member and I wanted to be sure they were happy with it before I posted a final version. In the original draft she had long skirts and was barefoot, which I kind of liked more than the pants and boots, even though it’s not necessarily a practical representation of the character, but ahh well. The customer is always right!

Thanks for the support everyone! Very cool community here.

And yeah, I haven’t even looked at patterning, shading and highlighting >.<

That was your first day? It took me ages to start experimenting with poses! http://www.heromachine.com/wp-content/legacy/forum-smileys/sf-surprised.gifhttp://www.heromachine.com/wp-content/legacy/forum-smileys/sf-cool.gif

I don’t know why, HeroMachine just speaks to me :P I’ve always liked to draw anyway, but HeroMachine is like a short-cut, no boring line work necessary, just start layering! :)

    Just, wow!

You are off to a phenomenal start! Everything looks great, but I especially love the cigarette flicking orc.

Thanks, Weilyn. I like your work as well!

Also based off of a previous character from my group earlier campaign, here we have a sneaky looking elven artillery guy. As you all know, there is no sideways facing body or clothing, so I was pretty pleased with how this turned out.

This latest installment came as a request from a guy on a shadowrun forum to do a portrait for his character. An albino ork, throwing adept, self-described “Texican”.

The next day I was looking for inspiration and just wanted to mess around with making something mean looking. Ended up with this Shiva-armed Drider.

Continuing the trend of making characters from actual campaigns, I made this Ulfen Barbarian, based off of a character one of the guys in my group played.

The next day, I channeled this portrait from somewhere. Did it in about 45-50 minutes. I discovered the Alpha channel changing in this one http://www.heromachine.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

This is actually a portrait of the character I am currently playing in a Pathfinder Campaign. He is a Qadiran Dervish-Dancer Free-hand Fighter/Duelist. Out of character, the other players call him “Slap-chop”, because he’ll use his free hand to disarm or trip, and attack with his scimitar.
