The Morning After: Sony Needs Beta Testers For PS5 Software If you'd like to test the new PlayStation 5 features before they are available to everyone, this is your chance. Sony is launching a beta program for PS5 software for the system, with the intention of testing what's being described as a "major update" for later this year. Perhaps we'll be in a position to expand the SSD? Sony will release more information about the upcoming features within the next few weeks. Only PS5 owners who reside in the US and Canada are eligible to sign up. You will receive an email with instructions on how to download the beta firmware if you're selected.
