    I took all your lovely advice and updated my Merman. I changed the right hand since it wasn’t working with the skinnier white bands (I also spliced together the three panels with Gimp, so it’s not totally HeroMachined). I’m very pleased with how it turned out. 😀

    I also realized the irony of the gif I linked earlier. I think I’ll leave it.

    The idea is that they are a continuation of the white from the browser page, like in split perspective gifs. It might help if they were a little thinner, I think.

    I’ve been tossing around the idea of split perspective for a while now, although I’m not sure how effective it is. It feels like it needs more… something. What do you guys think?

    @Vampyrist, Skoul, and RobM: Thanks so much! I think the DK took me about two whole days of consistent work. I wish I had the patience nowadays to shade things that thoroughly. >_<
