By Hook & Thread Yesterday was the 9th birthday celebration of my boy! Gmxs NINE!! ! A Minecraft Party was requested. The easiest way to design one of those is to find other ideas from others! So I came here and made this board. The Sunny By Design had some amazing things. Here's my ode to Minecraft Party.. Creeper juice. The tiny Chubby drinks. Paper ripped off and faces put on. Torches= twisted pretzel sticks. I could have dipped the ends in red chocolate, but time took away from me. The slime balls were supposed to be green jello squares, however, they were left in my fridge. The zombie boogies were wasabi beans! Sorry for the blurry photo below. I made a few TNT bundles but decided not to make them. Instead, I placed them in a glass. My favorite part of the event was when I exclaimed "There are still plenty of fruits and vegetables left!" If you don't want to eat them now, I'm putting them in your bags of loot!" Things were being eaten as there was a loud woosh at the table. : The cake was actually a brownie. I wanted to leave the edges uniced and I figured that the brownie would be less crumby. The icing was a Fluffy Boiled Frosting. It wasn't sweet at all. We had way too much of this cake So I made meringue puffs and put them in the oven. Those were also left at home. Here's something I learned To make meringue, beat your egg whites. heat oven to 350 degrees Add them to the oven, turn off the oven, and let cool down. It's simple. The signs and grass leaves were made by Sizzix dies. The big, honkin' thick ones. You can do it in the cuttlebug using B plates on the bottom and on top of the die. Don't use the A plate at the entire. To let loose some party energy, we booked the local arena. We go to the general skating at least once a week. The boy has made lots of progress over the last few weeks. He even looks like a skater now! Dad and his boy. Everyone Sing ...... Happy Birthday to you! Loot bag time! The loot inside. I don't like giving out loot bags with a bunch of small things. So I gave handmade creeper cookies, which took two days, and a trip to the local bakery to ice (Thanks Flying Fox) as well as the CD of Minecraft Parodies. I found the title on YouTube and gave it to my husband for him to create his own magic. Then, I gave him some snacks. It's over with the birthday celebration! (paper characters) It was a lot of fun! Edited May 8: Wow, you are probably on a frenzy for minecraft party ideas. What we would not do for our children. This post has had nearly 10,000 hits as of today. This is quite a large number in my world. People have been hanging my creepy juice bottles like mad. Awesome. Check out my sidebar. 13 followers. Makes me feel kinda lonely. Want to join the party on my blog too? Follow me on Twitter or bookmark my blog to get a glimpse of what I've been up too. I've also made ninja peggies! You can use those for the next party.
