WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantThanks Hrr D. Not something or someone I would want to meet! Meanwhile, we all need a bit of wonder in our lives.

JeimuzuParticipantThat fairy looks pretty. I really like all the magical fairy dust/energy around her.

I can’t argue with that.
Whimsical and beautiful work.June 23, 2014 at 10:16 pm #41374
WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantThanks, guys. It’s actually good I’m taking a break from superheroes for a bit and stretch my imagination in other directions. Here’s my latest, the Dying Thief. One of 3 thieves said to be crucified along with Jesus Christ, this nameless thief accepted the saviour with his dying breath. In my universe, he was granted immortality, but still bears the scars of his beating as well as the wounds of his crucifixion. He has wandered the Earth for the past 2 millenium searching for souls like himself who were bad men, but still worthy of redemption. He has taken on the name of Stigmata, as the living embodiment of the crucifixion wounds. It is said he has been given limited power to pass on the same redemption he received with the touch of his hands, to those truly repentant souls. Please don’t read too much into this character, because I’m actually not very religious, but consider myself more spiritual.

Herr DParticipantAn interesting alternate ending for him. JC declared he’d see him in heaven “that night” in many interpretations of the Bible. A place that has no time– An extremely liberal interpretation would mean toward the end of the period of accepting souls instead of the earthly night that was on its way.
Sort of a balance for Cain. Nice.

WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantVery cool concept, Herr D. We seriously need a like button!

JeimuzuParticipantNice work on Dying Thief, I really enjoyed his bio.

WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantThanks, Jeimuzu. Honestly don’t know what inspired that, but I built on ideas from the teachings i remember as a child.

StulteParticipantInteresting interpretation of the character. I’ve given a lot of thought to the two crucified thieves, and I don’t think tey get quite the attention they deserve. Very cool work.

WMDBASSPLAYERParticipant“Whether drugs or guns, these people will kill themselves and each other either way. I just supply both means.” Such is the mind of Pietro Zignewski, Mr. Zigg to his underlings. When asked about the scar on his cheek, his only reply is, “I should have killed that bitch!” He is the one behind the flow of crack cocaine, heroin and guns in Brooklyn’s minority neighborhoods. A coldhearted, calculating businessman, Zignewski is an old school Polish immigrant who lived in East New York back in the days when the neighborhood was more integrated with Polish, Russian and German immigrants. As more Blacks and Hispanics came into the neighborhood, his prejudice for non-white minorities grew and through association with Russian mobsters who admired the tough old school kid, he grew into the crime Lord he is today. His days of killing Blacks and Hispanics with his particular brand of poison are numbered, if the Urban Soul Patrol has anything to say about it, especially Basher, who will not share her reason for her particularly deep hatred for this man.

Yah–one wonders whether it’s a real enemy’s skull underneath.

Thanks guys. And Herr D, I considered that idea, the cane handle being a gold plated real skull, but I thought it might be a bit to small and I didn’t want to change the size at the risk of making it too big to realistically be a cane top.

WMDBASSPLAYERParticipantIn his “Tell My Story’ thread, Atomic Punk mentioned a name of a school kid who, along with a few friends skipped out of a class field trip and ended up witnessing a battle between Amy Atom and One Armed Bandit. he has not posted on Hero Machine since December. I hope this does not break the No Plagiarizing, but I did ask for his permission to use the name. In the mean time, until I hear from him, I present Tim Overton, who I eventually hope to make the Rick Jones of my universe. Tim Overton created in name only by The Atomic Punk.
