So I’m working on a wizard and I’m trying to find a way to make one of the collars from neckwear connect to a jacket from coats. Unfortunately it’s the one that has to be under the head but over any other clothes. Making the old collar disappear is no problem, but making the new one blend is proving to be a challenge. So far I’ve taken what is under the collar and then masked it back over. As you can see, there are still a lot of problems.

I’d really love any help you can give.http://www.heromachine.com/wp-content/legacy/forum-image-uploads/davick/2013/07/hm3-beta-12.png

I would take two square insignia items positioned on either side of the head, then using two more of the collar items. Mask the collars to the insignia’s and layer those two extra collars above the coat. Play around with the insignia size and positions until you get the collars blended the way you want then either layer them below your background or turn the transparency on all three colors to zero.

I took a crack at it… i think its close to what you’re wanting.
Here are the pattern positions i ended up having to use….

Red: Used to crop out old color
Yellow: used in conjuncture with another collar.
Green: Same as yellow with yet another collar.
Cyan: Used in conjuncture with another undershirt.

With a couple more mask, and careful tweaking it may be possible to completely fade out where the old collar starts to begin. That just requires way more patients than i have at the moment. Good luck, mate!
