Well, I guess since they’re amalgams of copyrighted characters there would of course be similarities to them, don’t you think? That’s why I’m asking first. And as for the names – what do you think the name of an amalgam of Billy Batson and Mar’Vell for example would be? 
Personally I think it’s okay, since it’s not much different than that old character contest that involved creating characters who were the sons/daughters of existing comic book heroes mentioned by DiCicatriz in his topic, but yes, I think I’ll follow your advice and ask a moderator first.
