Anansi based his name on the trickster hero spider of African legend. He is an incredibly gifted thinker, full of cunning and wit, and prefers to out-think his enemies rather than physically fight them. He wears them down psychologically and mentally, reducing them to confused, mumbling idiots. One of Anansi’s greatest foes is the Baffler, a villain with an arguably equally brilliant mind.
