An X-13 experiment combining heavyweight boxer Nick Legree and a tub of liquid hot magma produced the psychotic villain Brimstone. His body is now hardened, burnt rock, seering to the touch, and he is able to become fluid in order to access tighter spaces. The experiment was performed without Nick’s permission. It has been established that it was not the work of the M.A.C.H.I.N.E. but a much darker organization. It is possible that Brimstone is mentally controlled by this organization to do its evil bidding. Nick also received prosthetic surgery to make him look even more demonic and terrifying than he already was.
