He is notorious for his outrageous behavior, swearing continuously and making filthy jokes, but also for being extremely charming. He has a particular fondness for tobacco and rum as well for disruption, obscenity, and debauchery – often chasing after mortal women despite the fact that he is married to another powerful spirit known as Maman Brigitte. Baron Samedi can usually be found at the crossroad between the worlds of the living and the dead.
With his vast powers when it comes to vodou curses and black magic, Baron Samedi is the master of the dead as well as a giver of life. He can cure any mortal of any disease or wound, if he thinks it is worthwhile, and prevent people on the verge of death from dying or bring them back from death as brainless zombies.
