Ok, this week we have a very unusual result. It was very close, so close in fact that there's no outright winner. Yup, this weeks poll was a draw. And the two who drew for the win this week were Atomic Punk for Blueberry and madjack for Psych. I don't think I'll be able to make the call between the two, so I'll leave that one up to you guys as to who you think is the outright winner, but officially this one's a tie.

I apologise to those 'machiners who are older than 30 here, but this weeks Big Question is aimed squarely at our younger contingent. Don't worry next week we will be back to ranting about comics. I think it will be about the worst superpower ever.
Considering that the new Pokemon games are coming out this Saturday, and considering its significance to certainly my generation, I thought we'd talk about some of the new stuff they're going to be introducing. However, first we need a question. So, what do you think of the changes they are making for this generation?
Warning, if you are avoiding any leaks before the release of the games, don't read on. However, I will not be discussing the unofficial leaks made since promotional copies of the games have been sent out last week.

This week, I would like you to create a historical character from any point in human history. You can do any time between the Stone Age to World War 2 (preferably no later than WW2 please), anywhere in the world, Renaissance Italy, Ancient Egypt, Feudal Japan, Medieval England or Civil War America, just so long as the character fits the time. No steampunk unfortunately, as that didn't actually happen, but you've got nearly all of human history to play with so surely you can come up with ideas.
One little change this week, my fellow moderator and serial contest winner; djuby shall be guest judging for me this week. I'm sure he will be looking very closely at your costume designs, so make sure they're good.
As per usual, there are no entry limits, the contest will close at 12am Sunday (blog time). Please read the rules before entering, have fun and good luck.

As we all know, hindsight is a wonderful thing. And looking back through some questionable decisions made by the big two (I don't really know enough about Dark Horse or Image to comment on them), it seems that one of the biggest problems they have is chasing trends. So, for the next few WWTT's we'll be having a look at the most questionable of these trend chasers (be warned there will be '90's), starting today with the earliest.

I must say, I was surprised at how this poll turned out. I'm not surprised at who won, but the way in which people voted was most unexpected, I thought it would have been much closer than it was. However, this weeks winner, collecting over half the votes and one more vote than the rest of the competition combined, was for the second week running: djuby for his amalgamation of Scarlet Arrow and Black Terror- Black Archer

This week, I'd like to know are there any story lines that you feel are over used in the world of comics? It can be origin stories (e.g. exactly how many superheroes are orphans?), huge cosmic crises or team forming stories, I'm sure there are loads that you guys can think of. Also, are there any story lines or story ideas that you think have been neglected, missed or gone down the wrong path and ended in an unsatisfactory way?

This week I want you to use the power of precognition and create the winner of this weeks psychic powers contest. Basically, create an awesome character with some form of psychic powers. They can have Telepathy, Telekinesis, Clairvoyance, Precognition, Astral Projection, Mediumship, Mind Control, Possession etc. but you MUST do some form of visual representation of their powers.
