Character Design Challenge #494 – Pandemic!

Royalty-free stock illustration of an evil coronavirus with sharp teeth and with hands up in the air like a monster trying to scare someone away.

Your challenge this week is to create an original hero or villain who has risen from the Covid19 pandemic. Maybe their power is Zoom calls. Maybe they hoard toilet paper. Perhaps they are hobby enthusiasts. Just have fun with it.

Inside of Me a battle rages as the nano-antibody VAXIMUM EFFORT fights off the deadly virus that is Covid-19. So glad I got my first shot of the Covid-19 vaccine and can’t wait for life to get to some form of normalcy.

    Pandemic (Arthur Roman)

Brilliant scientist. The luminary of genetic engineering. Savior of mankind. All this is Arthur Roman. Praise, recognition, to be honest, it was never a catalyst for his actions. Perhaps Arthur was initially a little insane. With the dedication inherent only to the possessed, he devoted himself to diseases, the nature of their occurrence and methods of treatment. The shameful story of conducting experiments on hospital patients does not resonate in his soul in any way. Arthur is convinced that the ends justify the means. As for his connection with the underworld, the impetus for cooperation was not a desire not to deny himself anything, but again a lack of funds for his research. And his research was able to bear fruit, Arthur was able to create a cure for all diseases. Well that’s all, the world is saved, people will never get sick again. What else can you dream of, right? But not everything is so simple, because when Arthur himself tried his own “medicine” on himself, his whole world turned upside down.
He became a victim of his own ambition, the walking mockery of fate. The “medicine” became the catalyst for his “sleeping” abilities. And what is the irony, Arthur dreamed of ridding the world of diseases, but instead he began to spread them. He wanted to save humanity, but after his “rebirth” he hated people and began to consider them the greatest disease from which it is necessary to get rid of. But despite his dislike for people in general and some individuals in particular, one should not forget that Arthur Roman is a man of a cold mind. His brain makes decisions very coldly and clearly, he can develop his crimes for a long time, but everything must be calculated and done correctly. No evidence, clues – you can immediately see that a professional is working.
By the way, have you tried his signature bat soup yet?
