Pack your bags and get ready for a trip around the world over the next few weeks.
First stop…the USA!

Your Character Design Challenge thus week is to use HM3 to create a hero inspired by the USA.

The winner this week will receive a HeroMachine rendering of my version of their winning design.

Please follow the instructions below regarding the naming of entries.

You may enter up to three times.

Rules for posts, contests, and challenges: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. Please keep all submissions PG13: full or partial nudity is prohibited. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warning. Only post characters that have been created solely using Hero Machine, and that you know for certain have never been entered in a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.

All entries must be in JPG or PNG form (BMPs are too big), posted to a publicly accessible website (like the HeroMachine :,ImageShack, Deviant Art or whatever);Do not use Photobucket.

  • Entries must be made as a comment or comments to this post, containing a link directly to the image and the character name;
  • No copyrighted characters please – they will be deleted.
  • Please name your filesas [your name]-[character name].[file extension] before you upload it. So DiCicatriz, for instance, would save his “Bayou Belle” character image as DiCicatriz-BayouBelle.png.

Please make the link go directly to the image (like this) and not to a hosting jump page (like this).

This contest will close at noon Eastern on Monday, November 12th.

    My entry this week: Captain Rushmore!

    http://fav.me/dcr9mit

    George Theodore Jefferson was an average security guard at the Smithsonian Museum. One night he was on duty when he caught a man in a black hooded robe trying to steal an amulet. As he tried to take it away from him, the amulet fell to the ground, shattering and releasing a strange energy. He felt strange, as if his soul was leaving his body, and passed out only to wake up and see himself trapped into a nearby statue of Abraham Lincoln!

    With his new stone body, George gained super strenght, super resilience and immunity to pain, hunger, cold and heat. He decided to retire from his job as a security guard and became Captain Rushmore, the Stone Patriot!

After getting out of the hospital he was fired from the police force due to his reckless actions. Still wanting to do good in his community he forged a shield and costume becoming Freedom. During his first mission, he helped rescue animals that were illegal being experimented on and adopted a dog named Brave that was once used by the military. Together the two fight crime for all of America.

    I’m not entirely sure what to name my character, so he is going to be called Veteran. This is a version of him I made sometime ago, as in, a couple years ago. I believe this piece also resides within my gallery.

    For my entry this week, I decided to modernize him a tad bit. Here is an up close version of him, since my entry will have him slightly at a distance and I want to share my hard work on him.
