A few years ago one of the mods ran a CDC based on classic high school cliques. ie: mean girls, jocks, nerds, stoners, etc. Above are two of my entries – Dee Tension and Goal Post.
Your CDC challenge this week is to create a hero or villain based on a classic high school clique
The winner this week will receive my HeroMachine design for the winning character’s arch rival.
Please follow the instructions below regarding the naming of entries.
You may enter up to three times.
Rules for posts, contests, and challenges: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. Please keep all submissions PG13: full or partial nudity is prohibited. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warning. Only post characters that have been created solely using Hero Machine, and that you know for certain have never been entered in a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.
All entries must be in JPG or PNG form (BMPs are too big), posted to a publicly accessible website (like the HeroMachine :,ImageShack, Deviant Art or whatever);Do not use Photobucket.
- Entries must be made as a comment or comments to this post, containing a link directly to the image and the character name;
- No copyrighted characters please – they will be deleted.
- Please name your filesas [your name]-[character name].[file extension] before you upload it. So DiCicatriz, for instance, would save his “Bayou Belle” character image as DiCicatriz-BayouBelle.png.

Charlotte Sanders
Ms. Sanders is an extraordinary individual with a specific mindset. She represents the style or group one would call Goth in appearance, but the dark outfit with piercings and tattoos hide a well-educated girl, whom I found to be quite passionate, empathic and kind.
She is often seen strolling in alleyways, cemeteries or other places one would find daunting or inconvenient. However, her demeanor does not linger with negative emotions, and although she is usually quiet and distant, she does open up to certain individuals and peers when she finds them to her liking. Such people of the Goth culture and some other students accompany her at times.
Coming from an upper-class family she is not lacking, which she often expresses with her extravagant designer clothing of her so favored dark colors – some are outright provocative.
Sadly she seems to be fond of alcoholic drinks, especially wine, which may cause trouble later in her school progress, or if she is to take place in prohibited activities within school perimeters. Although so far she has not been seen drinking during school time, she was seldom witnessed by her comrades in an intoxicated state. This may further prove to be harmful for her, especially if someone would take advantage of her in such a vulnerable state.
Caution and supervision is advised.

Julia Morrow (Julie)
Julia Morrow is the top student of her class. This talented, energetic young woman is often the center of attention thanks to her enthusiasm for organizing school programs. She is currently the head of the school’s Drama Group, and an eager participant as well. She masterfully plays the violin.
She is helpful and kind towards her peers, and passionate about music and theatre, which further strengthens her leading role in the school’s social and artistic events. She surrounds herself with people of similar interests and cultural taste, but generally gets along fine with everyone.
As far as school reports are concerned, she is hard-working and conscientious in her studies. She has a very tight schedule in terms of rehearsals and academic projects, but so far this has not affected her grades. I see no reason to interfere as long as her responsibilities and health are not impaired.
However, I advise that teacher colleagues and staff should seek to ease her burdens and tasks, as well as pay special attention to her behavior, lest her activities take its toll on her. Meeting the deadlines and organizing school performances, meanwhile participating in extra musical classes must be stressful, even if she does not show it.
I will have a talk with her personally, perhaps including the school psychologist in the conversation, just to make sure this exceptional student does not overburden herself.

Working under the new band director had been pretty tough on Mark Tyme and his classmates. Mrs. Eriks had demanded nothing less than perfection. Though it was pretty cool getting to travel to Greece and preform their show there. That’s when the students learned why Mrs. Eriks had been so demanding. Her true form was Echidna, the mother of monsters from Greek myth, and the bands routine was actually a ritual that released her wicked offspring back into the world. Knowing the students regretted having been deceived, the Muses appeared to them and offered them the power to correct their mistake: divine energy that gave them unique powers. Of course Mark’s power was the key to them all. As Drum Major he could control the balance of divine energy in the band members, allowing him to strengthen their powers by shifting energy from others so their team could be optimized for any threat. Now equipped with more battle ready versions of their Marching uniforms they set out to save the world.

Ava Jones was head of the chess club. Until one day a portal appeared in front of her, dropping a wounded time traveler at her feet. He’d come back to find her, because she was the only one who could protect one of the two future saviors of mankind, code named ‘the Black King’. The traveler gave her a dagger, a shield generator, a ‘shadow suit’ that allows her to become nearly invisible, and the name of her charge before dying of his wounds.
Now, using her future technology, Ava must protect an oblivious first-line linebacker from the alien forces that are trying to prevent him from reaching his destiny, led by an elite alien soldier disguised as the head cheerleader. But two can play at strategy, and Ava is now the most powerful player on the board: the Black Queen!
