    I like that Suleman unifies he characters around their flag. Legatus intertwines a cold weather but a non-challenging design. Sorry, Legatus, while your minions might fit in your world, they just don’t pop.

    Synnburn’s Inkblots matched the challenge with plenty of critique. Instead of hard black lines, go with the minion’s shade. That would have a more ethereal effect.

    Not a critique but with Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo in heavy rotation, I note an influence. At the same time, very nice and inspiring.

    Great direction, design, and storytelling. Who are.these minions and who controls them?

  2. Legatus says:

    Wow, a CDC win for me. Thank you! It is a great honor.

    @AtomicPunk: Sorry you were so disappointed.

    @Suleman: your Imperial Soldiers were georgeous, had you arranged them as an ensemble, the win would be yours

    @Synnburn: your ensemble was the best pose-wise

  3. Suleman says:

    Thanks, guys. I agree that the Imperial Soldiers doesn’t work great as a team picture, with the copy pasted poses and all that.

    Great work, everybody!

    @Legatus: Nicht “enttäuscht.”

    They’re good designs and you earned the win. The uniforms are classic with enough variation to move the eye in order to look at their individual details. I know how difficult it is to create multiple characters in a single image. It can be very frustrating.

    Personally, the Red Mercenaries read more “foot soldier” than “minion.” That’s what I meant when I said that they “don’t pop.”
