So, we've now had two polls focusing on classic DC characters who've had more than one person take up the mantel, both with fairly predictable results if we're being honest. And so to complete the trilogy, this week we're looking at what I'm expecting to be the most predictable of the lot. And it's rather topical, considering the subject of this weeks What Were They Thinking?. So for this weeks poll we want to know who you guys think was the best incarnation of Batman's most famous side-kick. We're only counting those who have taken the name in mainstream DC continuity, so no multiverse, elseworlds or possible future versions.

The Secret Lair
Now, by Jason Todd, do you mean Jason Todd Mark I, the kid whose gymnast parents were killed by organized crime who hid in the Batmobile, until Bruce found him in the Batcave? Or were you thinking the proud graduate of Fae Gunn’s School for Wayward Boys (Jason Todd Mark II), who stole the tires off the Batmobile, and caused everyone who reads Batman comics to rejoice when The Joker blew him to smithereens? š
@William A. Peterson- Both. DC doesn’t seem to think there’s a difference. š
Nah… Mark I was pre-Crisis, Mark II is all they’ve done (that I know of, at least) since then.
Needless to say, they kept the worst so they could kill him off, so that Batman could do the whole “Dark Knight” thing… š
