    @Herr D: I was trying to convey that the gentleman in the sepia portrait above the mantle was a well-travelled 19th century ancestor who brought back several artifacts from the orient such as the samurai mask, helmet, and swords that appear to the right and the ‘Ming’ vases on either side of the mantle.
