I don’t see what a picture of Wolverine and Sabretooth fighting has to do with… oh. OH. All joking aside, thanks for the post MadJack! Happy IDAHOT!

Facepalm…really. I don’t mind gay dudes – as long as they don’t try to jump and wave like “Oh look at me I’m gay”. And I personally think that pictures like this can only instill disgust and so-called “homophobia”, not respect.

Two smiling guys. Just two smiling guys. Maybe even two smiling guys holding hands, that’s good contents for a poster that can support tolerance. But this…this is awkward and disgusting.

Oh, and I don’t like when heterosexual pairs demonstrate their heterosexuality in the open, too. I believe that love affairs must remain private.

@Malfar: If you don’t like it, just don’t look. Ignore it, it’s not doing you any harm. I will agree there could have been a less….. obtrusive (is that the right word, I’m not sure) image used, but it gets a point across. To be honest, I didn’t notice any of the more, umm…….. I’ll use your word actually, “awkward” parts of the image until I looked at it for the second time.

  4. Mad Jack says:

@ Malfar: Okay, to be honest I might have wanted to “provocate” a little bit by choosing this picture instead of a less “awkward” one. Why? Well, you said it yourself: if you’ve seen two guys smiling and holding hands it hadn’t bothered you, but seeing were Vic’s right hand is, disgusted you. Well, I won`t say that you in particular are homophobic by thinking so, but many people are. It`s became a bit of a habit that people consider themselves to be tolerant but can be bothered by a rather innocent picture at the same time and I think that`s pretty bigot because the same people wouldn`t care when in this picture Logan were i.e. replaced by a woman and Vic had his hands on her breasts (even if they were naked). So, the long and the short of it is that I wanted to provide a food for thought to what exactly homophobia is and where it may start by composing this particular picture.

Heh I think had it been Wiccan and Hulkling or some other actual gay couple might have went down easier LOL 😀
The fact that the pic was a hero vs a villain who are almost are brothers are the problem with the pic LOL 😀
Not that I have any problem with it. I’ve seen Rule 34.

But thanks for the heads up on the Day,
I’m gay and didn’t realize what today was.

Hey folks, Jeff here. I’m closing the comments on this post. While I personally am fully in support of the International Day Against Homophobia, my general policy with the blog is to stick to the subjects of super-heroes, comic books, and encouraging creativity. There are lots and lots of places on the Internet people can go to have arguments and discussions about politics, religion, sex, or what have you — I don’t want this blog to be one of those, because if it’s one of those then it’s not about the things it IS about, if that makes sense.

I’d also like to add that I want everyone to keep in mind when making comments OR posts to be respectful of each other. Please watch your tone and if you can’t say something in kindness, then please don’t say anything at all.
