Special Halloween Pop Quiz – Winner!

Thanks to everyone who came out to play for this unscheduled Pop Quiz - Halloween Mashup! Some really great creations, some downright creepy and others done with tongue planted firmly in cheek. This was a very tough call simply because they all captured the theme so well. There were three, however, that kept me coming back again and again, finding little details I had not noticed before. They were Vampire/Nurse by David Antstiss, Leprechaun /Fairy by CantDraw, and Alien/Samurai by Calvary Red.

Since I have to choose a winner I am going with CantDraw's Leprechaun Fairy. Amazing attention to detail. Well done. Be sure to check out the Blog on Saturday, November 1st at 9am Eastern for the next Pop Quiz.

  1. Strange as it is… Halloween and Saint Patrick’s Day are both Irish holidays. Which made CantDraw’s Leprauchan Fairy “too obvious.” And serious, Congratulations, CantDraw. So amazing and artistic! A fine example of how to push HeroMachine to its limits and inspire.

Personal favorite is Herr D’s “Pirate Dinosaur Slang.” So witty that he (she, s/he, it, they?) is (are) delightful. Yivo?

So Top 3? Honestly i’m thrilled, all the entries are excellent. Serious props to everyone, especially the ever awesome CantDraw.

And to think, I almost didn’t do the pop quiz since I had other things I really needed to accomplish. But then I saw the category, and I couldn’t help myself. Even if I hadn’t won, that’s several hours I didn’t mind giving up. I appreciate the comments!

Congrats to CantDraw, and thanx, guys, for the nods. I always like a good monster mash. Over three decades ago, I asked a couple of people what happened when a werewolf and a vampire bit each other. The answer they gave was “nothing,” and some funny looks.

DON’T EVER LISTEN TO NAYSAYERS–I COULD HAVE BEEN RICH BY BEATING “UNDERWORLD.”

I’m waiting for my squidlings to say something more strange than usual . . .
