Pop Quiz Shield Winner

Thanks to everyone who entered the last Pop Quiz! We had some fun entries, which I am happy to post here for your enjoyment and convenience.

As always, there can be only one winner, and this week it's ... Iscarioto:

I thought this was a very creative entry that looked great both active and inactive. Even though there's a bit of a person showing, like with some of the other entries I think it's necessary here to show what the heck the thing is.

Great work everyone! Thanks for sharing your weekend creativity with us.

Nice job, Iscarioto! I knew your shield would win. Awesome design and effective presentation.

  4. logosgal says:

Very nifty shield, Iscarioto! Congrats! I like how you show it both in use and stowed away.

Personally, I really liked MrVampire’s Elemental Shield and Myro’s meat shield. They made me laugh. šŸ™‚ I also thought dblade’s Fae shield was pretty cool.

  5. Iscarioto says:

Oh Mint! Cheers guys! I’m seriously chuffed.

  10. Trekkie says:

Wonderful entry, Iscarioto- congrats! And there were amazing shields from everyone.

  11. Myro says:

Congrats Iscarioto, that’s a fine looking design. I also liked dblade’s and Hammerknight’s entries. And thanks for the praise, logosgal. The meat shield was actually harder to do than it looked, considering I used no masking to do it. I just had to jigsaw all those pieces over the shield. It was still not my best idea.

  12. Charles "Drago" Smith says:

Very cool looking shield. All of them were great, but this one is the most original/creative and stuck out the most in my opinion

  13. FRM says:

  16. ams says:

Great pic, Iscarioto! Cudos on the concept and illustration. Do you have a whole character in mind? Love to see what you come up with. Cheers!

  17. Herr D says:

Congrats to Iscarioto. Thanks to JH for consideration. If anyone has specific ideas on digitally distressing metal, as I tried to do, please post them to Herr D’s Wall of CFL’s in Forums Gallery. I want to ‘dimple’ mine before I post it with my others. Or IM me. Thx.

  18. Iscarioto says:

Thanks guys! Jim, could I please have a portrait done for my prize. Cheers!!! http://i.imgur.com/gGpHp.png

  19. Iscarioto says:

AMS – not as yet. You’re welcome to give it a go if you like. Actually, that wouldn’t be the worst idea for a competition. Somebody comes up with a particular body part, and everyone has a go to make a corresponding character…

I don’t know who Jim is, but I’m happy to put it on the list for prizes to be completed by me, Jeff šŸ™‚

Ah, Jeff, sorry! I knew that, temporary case of mild dyslexia. My bad, sorry pal.
