  1. Dan Gonzalez says:

You can make a lot of money wearing a mask and disciplining powerful business people. I didn’t know it went so far back.

  2. kingmonkey says:

This reminds me of the Batman “Papa spank!” panel I saw somewhere. More superheroes need to spank their nemeses.

  3. Jeff Hebert says:

Wonder Woman in the early years was pretty chock-full of spank-o-riffic action as well.

  4. Danny Beaty says:

    IT’S SPANKERIFFIC GOOD!

  5. Reader Kate says:

Say, why hasn’t this guy had a bad costume article?

  6. Jeff Hebert says:

I think I’ve mentioned his pink see-through puffy blouse a couple of times, but actually I like Firebrand quite a bit. Partly it’s that the art on his run was a lot better than most of what was on offering back then, with really dramatic camera angles and good anatomy. But I also like his headgear, and the outfit overall is pretty simple and pared-down, except for the aforementioned blouse which is, admittedly, pretty awful.

I dunno, I guess I’ve developed an affection for him that prevents me from the necessary level of mockery 🙂
