Given the illustrator, it's hard to tell exactly what's going on here, but regardless I hope that "WHANK" is really, really, really NOT the appropriate sound effect:

On the other hand, maybe that's why Wolverine's head wing thingies are standing up so tall and straight.
I like the use of the word ‘illustrator’ instead of ‘artist’. 😀
of all the words…….
I wonder if he is secretly peeping at the Batman panel below.
What a whanker.

Good one, DJ! This still can’t compare with “Captain America, I command you to . . . WANK!” but it’s good for a chuckle.
Hi Jeff,
Hope you’ll forgive a somewhat off-topic post, but I wanted to post this where you’d be sure to see it. Here’s a suggestion for HM3 or maybe a Hero-Mini: Steampunk.
I recently heard audio versions of two great steampunk-flavored stories, and it put me in mind to create some steampunk looking characters. There are quite a few ways to get that late 19th-early 20th century look for male characters (jackets with cummerbunds, top hats, goggles, wire-rim spectacles, etc.) but not so many for the ladies. I’d like to see formal bodices and hoop skirts for clothing options (this would also work for Old West style female characters). For steampunk characters, I’d like to see an airship option for a “companion” in much the same way you have a motorcycle and a horse now. The airship could look like a hot air balloon, a zeppelin, or some crazy thing with propellers, canopies, and gondolas all over it. Just a thought. Hope you like the idea.
The whole Steampunk thing reminds me of the old TV series “The Wild Wild West”.
Danny, you’re right. I guess “Wild Wild West” was proto-steampunk or steampunk when steampunk wasn’t cool. “Wild Wild West” was also one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. The episode with the Juggernaut both fascinated me and gave me nightmares :).
