Melee weapons

Some of these are combination melee and ranged weapons, but mostly they're for hand-to-hand stuff. Hope you like 'em.

Y’know, for some reason it doesn’t get any better than the musket-gripped tomahawk. But if I may, how about at least one more offensive gauntlet? Could be bladed or maybe with a firearm attached, something along those lines. Thanks for your time, Jeff.

  2. Kaldath says:

Again I most say … Nice, Very very Nice!!!

  3. Jester says:

I dunno, I think my favorites out of that group are the chainsaw/machine gun, and the razor-ie-looking thing at the bottom (not sure if it shoots the razors or if its just like a wrist-mounted saw, but either way, it still looks awesome).
Yeah, the idea of offensive gauntlets sounds really cool. Maybe a wrist-mounted crossbow-looking weapon that shoot tranquilizer darts or something. And more fist-type weapons too. Think Voldo from Soul Caliber.

  4. Jeff Hebert says:

I’m definitely planning on at least one more gauntlet weapon, the Gundan model that Kaldath I think sent to me. Probably at least a few more, going in the Gloves section, but at least that one.

  5. DJ says:

I really like the longest staff. Have you thought of adding something like a Cyborg(Teen Titans) style arm canon?

  6. Jeff Hebert says:

    I’ll look into that, DJ.

  7. The Icedaemon says:

I must be the only person here who dislikes this new turn your designs have taken. Please, for those of us who do not want to utilize over the top cheese with whatever we cobble together, do keep the items that look like real, functional weapons in the next version.

  8. DJ says:

Just thought of another. What about a double barrel wrist cannon like War Machine has?

  9. Jeff Hebert says:

I see what you’re saying Icedaemon, but when the program launches you’ll see why the items are a little over the top. This isn’t meant to be an all-encompassing sort of applet, it’s for a specific purpose. It’ll make more sense once it launches with the attendant contest.

Sweet! I love the two blades on the left. They’re graceful. But the shotgun/axe takes the cake for sheer awesomeness.

Stargate has energy-blasting “staff weapons” (gotta love the creative names) that might be of interest. I’ve always wanted to see one with a blade incorporated into it somehow.

  11. Kaldath says:

The Axe head Shotgun/musket and the Knife Blade Revolver makes me think on you should do some rifles with Bayonets

  12. Fleck says:

Wow, I really like these. Especially the glaive, since polearms have always been my favorite melee weapons.

There is one thing I’m asking myself though. How is that chain(-saw/shot-)gun thing supposed to work? I can see how the pistol/knife and the musket/tomahawk work, but the chain/gun simply looks like a chainsaw with a weird handle to me.

And now I’ll have to excuse myself, I suddenly have the urge to create some medival warriors with HeroMachine.

  13. Jeff Hebert says:

Well Fleck, first thing you’ll need is fifty ball bearings and some 30-weight motor oil …

I figure you hold it like a sawed-off shotgun, that’s what the grip on the bottom forward is for. Of course it’s completely impractical, as all good fantastic weapons should be.

    Me likey, me likey.

  15. Level says:

I always thought it would be cool to have a handgun with a katana like blade as a bayonet.

  16. Violodion says:

Cool adds — love it when they have two good usable colors as it adds versatility and re-usability for the item.

Classic martial art weapons are good adds: three-sectional staff; sai; butterfly knife; steel whip; iron fan; tiger fork; chinese hook; et al.

    Just saying…

  17. William A. Peterson says:

What? No Kusari-Gama style Vibro Halberd?
    No 12-gauge Shotgun/ Swordbreaker combo?
{Swordbreaker is kind of like a Sai, but with twin blades, serrated on the inside… Now, replace the center spike with a shotgun, and you should be good to go!)
I’m very disappointed in you, Jeff! :->
    {Yes, I just made both of these up, on the spur of the moment, specifically for the purpose of being a pain in the neck, but that doesn’t mean I’m willing to accept excuses!}

  18. Jeff Hebert says:

These are just samples, not the entire set. I’m very disappointed that my vibro-halberd has been outed, now I’m not going to use it to punish the spies.

  19. Danny Beaty says:

In “Evil Dead2” and “Army of Darkness”, Bruce Cambell’s hand was replaced with a chainsaw. Just thought I would mention it.

  20. Fabien says:

    I want a monofilament sword.

  21. The Imp says:

    What about:
    -an energy whip
-some more wrist-attached guns (like the one in the expansion gloves section of HM2)
    -more shoulder-mounted guns

  22. Kaldath says:

Well HM3 is still aways off yet, Jeff has to get through the Warrior Mini first, Though I will say once he does get to HM3 I think that will give the Ugo Heromachine forums a shoot in the arm that it seems to need right now as things are terribly slow over there.

I would like a katana with a synthetic grip and this http://www.gpknives.com/item/masters-of-defense-cqd-mark-v-atac.html
