Skateboard HM Mini
The first "HeroMachine Mini" based on the "FaceMaker" code is now up for your entertainment purposes! The Tony Hawk Tricked Out Skate Deck lets you build your own skateboard HeroMachine-style, with all the features of the new version available. You can scale items, move them around with your mouse, set your own custom colors, and more. I think it turned out nicely and is pretty fun to play around with, even if you're not much of a skateboarder. Let me know what you think if you check it out!

The First Comic Book Improv
As we discussed a couple of weeks ago, I'm going to try something that is, as far as I know, unprecedented in the comic book world: Comic Book Improv. This is very experimental and "out there", and as a result the PSF* is very high. Per the new mantra, however, we have Permission to Suck! If you're daring enough to take part in what very well could be an unmitigated disaster the coolest thing ever to appear on the Internet, join me after the jump.

Hellboy II Review
"Better late than never" is my motto when it comes to movie reviews and employment, so in order to keep the latter I shall obey the former and offer up my belated review of "Hellboy II: The Golden Army". For those of you who, like me, have a short attention span, here's the one-sentence summary:
The great first half of "Hellboy II" makes it worth seeing on the big screen, but the slow and disappointing second half should make you catch a matinee instead of paying full price.
The full review is after the jump.

Universal oneness through a hail of gunfire
And lo, the faithful shall reach enlightenment through the sound of bullets firing from the breasts of the Skull God:
Apparently one of the world's largest religions was formed not when Siddhartha sat under a tree until he gained enlightenment, but when he popped up out of the ground, nipples a-blazing with gunfire. Good to know.
