Quick interlude for a contest entry (haven’t done one in a long time), a fantasy reimagining of Melisa Meier as a fantasy warrior or knight (yeah, I know her hero name is Paladin, but she doesn’t have any healing powers, so she’d just be a plain old warrior class, al-be-it a very fancy one with white armor).

Anyway, back to normal stuff now.

    Ataraxia

Able to influence the emotions and mental states of people around him and people he touches, he mainly uses his powers to induce a state of tranquility and contentment into people. However, this is not out of any altruistic motive. It is easier to control people if they feel like they are benefitting from what is happening to them and the happier people are the more they will do to keep hold of that feeling, even going to extremes.

Originally a prototype suit of protective armor created for search & rescue and bomb disposal work in warzones, the prototype was stolen and has been used by many different criminals for their nefarious ends. The suit is blast-proof and the shoulders hide a mechanism that can unch the arms of the suit forward with enough force to smash through a foot thick concrtet wall, so it is unsurprising that the suit was highly sought after by criminals. It always seems to find its way back into the hands of professional criminal Charles Urban, who nicknamed the suit Copperjacket and is by far the most notorious person to have worn the suit, even using it to fight The Protectors at one point (although it was not a fight he would win).

    Vector

A technology thief with advanced hacking skills and the ability to teleport. Often works alongside Cyber. Vector gets them in and jams up the system security, whilst Cyber goes into the system and takes whatever data they’re after.

    Alaya

Powers: Force Field Projection, Levitation, Minor Telekinesis, Peak Human Agility/ Reflexes

Bio: As a superhero, Alaya wasn’t one of the most well known in the business. She was minor league at best and only scrapped with low level supervillains and street thugs. So, when she disappeared, all but a few people just forgot about her. Then she returned and everyone knew about it. Equipped with enhanced powers and a new meaner attitude, Alaya turned her back on her previous heroic ways, deciding that if nobody cared enough about her to notice she was missing, she would make sure that they noticed her now.

    Raunen

The world’s premier assassin, Raunen is trained to perfection, able to weild anything as a leathal weapon. This combined with his inhuman healing ability (which allows him to shrug off injuries that would kill even the toughest normal person) makes him an almost impossible foe to fight. Of course, his services don’t come cheap and he won’t take just any job. He specialises in a particular kind of target; superheroes.

    Royal Paramilitary Guard

A special elite taskforce of the British Armed Forces, sent to do all the jobs that no other unit can do.
    LtR:
Rory Danielson: The teams’ “tech wizard”. He coordinates missions using his World Analytical Network Database system and will often be deployed to put his hacking skills to use. He can also summon support for the team using his system.
Radhika Desai: A dangerous assassin, Radhika prefers to fight close quarters with blades, rather than using guns. She is deployed to take out specific, high value targets with utmost efficiency.
Claire Tarrent: Given the nickname “Barbarian” due to her size and strength, Claire is the team’s muscle. She is often the front line for the group, getting them out of sticky situations.
Piotr Krawczyk: A legendary army ranger, Piotr is deadly over long distances. His sniper skills second to none, he takes out targets with surgical precision.

Layton Mccoll: The team medic, Mccoll is probably the least experianced of the group, but he makes up for it by being a first rate combat medic. He’s so good that his team-mates often joke that he’s using magic rather than medicine.

Werewolf Group Behaviour: Generally speaking werewolves are not social creatures, despite being a combination of man and wolf (two highly social species). Often however, this is by choice rather than an natural instinct. They are highly aggressive by nature and often attack anything they sense come into their territory, be it a member of their own kind or prey. In light of this, most people afflicted with Lycanthropy will isolate themselves away from others during a full moon in an attempt to prevent themselves hurting anyone, therefore forcing a solitary lifestyle onto their wolf form. However, it is not unheard of for higher functioning werewolves to seek out other Lycanthropes and form a pack. Sometimes this can happen naturally, say, if a family are all infected, then they will function as a pack when transformed, operating in a simular way to wolves in the wild. However, if a pack is formed unnaturally, through a group of unrelated Lycanthropes coming together in a group, then the pack will behave much more like wolves in captivity. The group will be beset by infighting, with the strongest male and female becoming the dominant/ alpha members of the pack. The alphas will often face challenges by other members of the group, but a strong alpha pair can create a highly dangerous pack, much more violent and unpredictable than a family pack.

Melissa Carson was always the queen bee where-ever she went. Prom Queen at high school, star of the cheerleading squad at college, with rich parents, a big house and her little miniature terrier named Lola. And of course, with having everything came the bad attitude, the bitchy brattiness that only the truely spoiled can pull off. So one might expect that her life fell apart when she got bitten by a werewolf right? Well, appart from eating Lola in her first full moon, no, nothing changed. Still queen bitch, she managed to learn to control her transformations remarkably quickly, and though she can not  control her wolf instincts fully whilst transformed, she still retains a lot of her human intelligence. It is, of course, possible that she very well could control her instincts, but that she enjoys acting upon them. Her aggressiveness, intelligence and natural drive for influence has allowed her to become the alpha of her pack, a surprising turn of events considering that Melissa is rather small for a werewolf when in wolf form and would not be able to defeat many of the larger females in her pack should any chose to challenge her. She goes out of her way to exert her dominance on her pack even when in human form, which may go some way to explaining why she remains in her position despite her physical weakness.

Brodie Wolfe is a nasty piece of work. He was a thug growing up, spending time in and out of youth detention centres and he hasn’t grown any better as a person as an adult. What he has done though, is become a werewolf. During his most recent stint in prison, he was unlucky enough to not discover that his cellmate was a werewolf until the first full moon. The guards put down his cellmate and had Brodie restrained and in solitary for the rest of his time. Of course, solitary didn’t help his temprement and Brodie underwent some truely monsterous transformations, causing himself significant damage in the process. However, one thing kept him sane, learning how to control himself when transformed. Once he was released, he managed to slip under the radar and start a new life for himself. He found himself a pack and quickly became its alpha, brutally dealing with any who would challenge him, often with fatal consequences for the other wolves in his pack. Local law enforcement blamed his crimes on real wolf attacks and Brodie would become more brazen, eventually even catching the ey of the SRC.

One of Melissa Carson’s old school “friends”, Felicity Mcleod was pretty much just a target for Melissa to take shots at, never cool enough for Melissa to acknowledge any real friendship towards but always kept around so Melissa and her “cool friends” could have someone to look better than. Felicity thought she had escaped when Melissa went away to college, but no, Melissa came back and wanted to reconnect with all her old “friends”. And then Felicity discovered her old “friends” secret, that she was a werewolf and was only reconneting with people she knew so she could make them part of her pack. She saw Melissa transform during the full moon, so Melissa attacked her and bit her (across the back of the neck), to ensure that Felicity couldn’t tell anyone. Now Felicity is pretty much Melissa’s servant, both in the pack and in everyday life. However, Melissa is secretly quite scared of Felicity when she is transformed. Felicity is the largest female in the pack, large enough to even rival Brodie in terms of raw strength. However, Felicity’s subservient behaviour makes it highly unlikely that she will challenge Melissa for title of alpha female.

    Megumi Kuromoto

In Japanese legend, Oni are wicked humans transformed into demons upon arriving in hell. They form the army of the underworld and deliver punishment to other wicked souls in hell. However, sometimes there are people who do deeds so unspeakable that they are cursed to become Oni in life. And then, there was Daisuke Kuromoto, a man so evil that not only was he cursed to become an Oni, but 12 generations of his direct descendants were also to be afflicted by the same curse. Over the last 300+ years, the curse has weakened, from being a permenant transformation upon reaching the age Daisuke was when he was cursed, to being temporary but eventually becoming permenant over time, but it still remains.

Megumi is part of the last generation of Daisuke’s line to be cursed. Being so far removed from the original curse, it is unlikely she will eventually become a full Oni, but she is still cursed. Whenever she feels strong negative emotions she transforms into a large, red skinned, horned demon man that can only think of violence and pain. She’s tried yoga, meditation, hypnosis, anything to keep her emotions in check, but the Oni always finds his way out.

What are Darkbeasts? Well, Darkbeasts are a non-corporial, extra-dimensional essence in their original form. They manifest through extreme negative emotions, in a simular way to how Negadroid’s power source works, they are sustained by feeding on the worst of humanity, be it rage, hatred, depression, greed. This normally wouldn’t be much of a problem, dimensional traversal by non-corporial beings are incredibly rare and most Darkbeasts are too weak to do so. However, some do develop the ability to break this barrier. If they do, they will immediately head for the nearest source of strong negative emotion and attempt to latch on to it. The Darkbeast will then try to form its own corporial body using this new host. Most often this host will be human, though it has been noted (and more commonly as a successful transformation) in other higher intelligence animals such as dogs, cats and monkeys. Depending on their current mental state, a human may be able to repel a Darkbeast (which may explain the higher conversion rate for non-sentient animals), however some may not. Even then, it is very very rare for a human to be fully transformed in a permenant fashion, some may only transform on a trigger or when experiancing strong negative emotions. Then we have the strang case of Alexandria Lloyd (Lexi to her friends). Lexi was attacked by an emergant Darkbeast after she had just lost both her parents in a car accident. Unable to fight back against the parasite, she was fused and became a Darkbeast host. As usual, she was able to regain control of her body, but what was unusual was that the Darkbeast was also able to trigger transformations without needing an emotional opening, able to manifest without warning at any time. Whilst, admittedly, this has come in useful on rare occasions (the Darkbeast is intimidating and dangerous, not a creature that even the most foolhardy mugger would dare tangle with), the Darkbeast also still requires negative emotions to sustain its self and very quickly figured out that the easiest food source was fear, which it could get just by transforming in a crowded public space. As one might guess, this has made Lexi’s life somewhat difficult.

Okay, your version of Dandelion is *muah* (chef’s kiss).   It’s honestly so good and I love that you gave her glasses like the original version.  Also love the green lipstick!

@Jeimuzu- Cheers dude, glad you like her. I thought I’d pop in a couple of references to the original version, the glasses being one of them.

    Anyway

    Powers:

    -Cyborg physiology (Self-repairation, enhanced strength/ stamina/ endurance/ durability)
    -Energy Cannons
-Video Game Logic (can regenerate health by eating and drinking, can survive extreme events with minimal damage, able to Save progress and reload after death, can level up by gaining new experiances, can store an infinite amount of items on her person, able to pause time to look through her inventory, can just walk into random strangers houses without anyone questioning her)

When Cyber and Vector were hired to do an industrial espionage project by a video game company looking to get the inside scope on a rival’s new product, they were expecting a simple and easy job, no hitches. What they got was a little more than they expected and a lot more than was asked. Somehow, Cyber managed to bring a character from a work in progress game back to reality with him. That character was Sapphire, a cyborg with energy cannons built into her arms. Despite being disorientated by suddenly becoming real, she identified the pair of thieves as hostile and opened fire (as a character from an FPS is wont to do). The duo panicked and Vector teleported them out of there, leaving Sapphire trapped outside her game, in a reality that she was never meant to exist in.
