Character Design Challenge #345 – What’s In A Name?

Your challenge this week is to create a  female character using HM3 based on the character name I provide. You can interpret them as either a hero or a villain. Your choice.

The name you are working with this week is Anna Phylaxia.

Rules for posts, contests, and challenges: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. Please keep all submissions PG13: full or partial nudity is prohibited. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warning. Only post characters that have been created solely using Hero Machine, and that you know for certain have never been entered in a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.

All entries must be in JPG or PNG form (BMPs are too big), posted to a publicly accessible website (like the HeroMachine :,ImageShackDeviantArt, or whatever - Please do not use Photobucket);

  • Entries must be made as a comment or comments to this post, containing a link directly to the image and the character name;
  • Please name your filesas [your name]-[character name].[file extension] before you upload it. So DiCicatriz, for instance, would save his “Bayou Belle” character image as DiCicatriz-BayouBelle.png.

Please make the link go directly to the image (like this) and not to a hosting jump page (like this). *

This contest will close on Sunday, November 19th at 9:00am Eastern.

    Her people are sea beings, who had never seen the surface world up until Earth was invaded by creatures from the past. The past is what the underwater beings call space. A few of the past’s soldiers fled to the sea and invaded her city of Pacica and almost wiped out her people.

    She was just a citizen when they found her and tortured her. Took her eye and sliced into her body and severed her hand. She was saved by one of the guards and helped to reclaim their home. Now she stands as one of the most formidable guardians of Pacica using technology from the creatures to replace her missing arm and the company of her pet squid Zaxter whom she protected from pirates and has been acting as one with each other since

  2. Anna Richet nearly died several times in her childhood duue to violent allervy reactions. As she got older she became scientist to discover cures and even preventitive medications to keep anaphylatic reactions from happening. She tested on herself and eventually became immune to her allery triggers and found she could bring on anaphylactic reastions in others with the touch of her skin. Unfortunately the CEO of the company was too worried about people developing anaphylatic touch and wanted her to stop working on her rsearch and lose her notes. He had a arsonist burn all of her reserch in thr lab and at her home.
    She struggled with the hired thug and in a hand to hands struggle she mader his eye4s, lips nad tongue swell, butting off his breathing and he died. In a fury she confronted the CEO and gave him a kiss goodbye and her also died. Soon afterwards her mind was affected from the toxins and medications in her system and she became heartless in her used of her new powers and took the name Anna Phyaxia.

    (Between the punny name, the swollen lips and eyes, she looks like I did another drag queen LOL 😀 )

  3. Yup. And you might want to double check your story… I think there were a few words spelled correctly… Can’t have THAT, now can we? 😀

  4. Anna Phylaxia, Belgium’s little-known contribution to the Allied effort in WWII:

    I’m not sure what the rules are about this, so I’m including the original orientation the way I did it in HM:

    But I think it looks better flipped:
