Ok guys, for this weeks challenge I want you to create a music based character or characters. How you wish to interpret that is up to you, but your entry has to include a music based character.
As per usual, no limits on entries this week and the contest will close at midnight Saturday (blog time). Please read the contest rules before entering, have fun and good luck.
Rules for posts, contests, and challenges that I am hosting: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warnings. Only post characters that you have either created for this contest specifically or you know for certain have never been entered to a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.
My entry this week is a rock singer/guitar player by day who unknown to anyone else is a superhero called “Sonic Boom”. Not only does he sing in a band, but as a superhero he has the power to elevate his voice even further to superhuman levels to destroy any object by matching the vibration/pitch of his voice to a particular object. He can create amounts of force to repel. The force of his voice is able to propel him through the air as if he was flying and incapacitate foes with deafening sound. He is even able to command his voice in such a way that he is able to persuade a person against their will to do what he commands to help in his fight against crime.

This particular section of the Flood-Damaged Scroll in the Archive Of Swirra The Studious depicts the legend of the Threesinger. A flighted lizard with a prehensile tail, the Threesinger was unique in that never fought or participated directly in any violence, using its surprising speed to dodge any attempt to hunt it, even by ambush or crossbow bolt. Its crest functioned as a sort of sound baffle and noise directer. Its three wings could propel it through any complicated maneuver. Its three horns and springy tentacles would depict, musically, the actions of those it observed. One to three individuals or groups could be emulated simultaneously by such thematic music. The legend says that the Grey Cardinal was repeatedly insulted by the occasional sour note played by them in his presence and so drove them from his province by hiring Eric The Deaf as a minstrel. They left en masse and have not been sighted since. This entry in the folio shows examples of runic musical symbols complete with color denotations of timbre–very rare indeed.

“Blue Devil” Giles Black
if there is a type of blues that exists, “The Blue Devil” Giles Black has put his own heart into it.
A blues guitarist, singer, songwriter of undetermined age traveling all across the US Giles Black was something of a black sheep, always into trouble if not actually being the scource of it.
No one knows where he’s originally from, but you can guarentee if there is Blues around “The Blue Devil” will be there with booze by his side.
Giles is of unknown race, but seems a mix of races, most possibly black and white or hispanic.
“The Blue Devil” seems to have been around since the beginning of the Blues, some think the Blue Devil is a title given/or taken by one after another of the Blue Devils’ offspring or desirous students or fans of which there are reported to be many.
Those who believe in mysticism and occultism talk about The Blue Devil being the personification of the blues.
Some speak of him fearing the havoc which surrounds him treating him like a misunderstood banshee believing he brings death when he is only the herald of it. Actually it seems to be the melancholy and/or depression which guarantees the arrival of The Blue Devil
While not the source of the blues he may well be the avatar of it. all the emotion giving over to a physical manifestation.
Here he is in a typical dive, not too different from the original juke joints, the place thick with atmosphere and cigarette smoke with beer spills on the floor as well as on the walls

James Flynn was a regular guy who liked skateboarding and extreme sports. One night while ripping through what he thought was an abandoned warehouse, he was captured by agents of the organization known as F.E.A.R (Facility for Exohuman Advanced Research). Their goal was to create a counter-measure to the heroine The Sentinel, and Flynn found himself ‘volunteered’. After six months of experiments and tinkering with his genetic code, Flynn was able to escape using his new powers. He had been turned into what amounted to a human tuning fork. Contact with his body produces a musical note, and because he was designed as a weapon, the vibrations from the sound is released mainly through his limbs. A casual brush would produce a small chime, while a loud clap or stomp creates a thunderous bass and devastating shockwave. His suit was created to allow him to live safely in society. It is insulated with an advanced set of electomagnets that help to contain his powers, as well as retractable gloves and face shield.
This is probably too late but sharing anyway.

Odelle always knew people with power existed, she’d seen it demonstrated close up as a child, but for a long time she did not consider herself one of them. It took the arguments of the other future members of the Order of the Griffin to convince her that the effects of her violin playing went beyond mere musicianship and evoked fantstic visions in the minds of her listeners.
Though initially reluctant to be a part of a superhero team, she soon found herself in a leadership role, helping the others work together and use their powers more effectively. She knows she isn’t very effective in a direct fight, so she leads from behind, coordinating her teammates and distracting opponents with her powers.
While she has no direct control over what her listeners see, the music she chooses to play influences the emotional content of the image.
Ok guys, this weeks contest is now closed. The result will be up shortly.
