As a generic opinion, something with 6 legs–does it need a skirt or just a drape?
Drape.
At that point, it’s safe to say a drape IS a skirt.
It all depends on how the legs are. If they are in line like a centaur or a spider it is hard to put either on. But if they hook to the torso like standard legs you could use either.
