Contest deadline looming!

Don’t forget, you only have till Sunday night/crack of dawn Monday to get your submissions for the Super Omega Deathbattle Warzone Apocalypse Contest! The winners will get their characters painted in full color in a promotional piece for this new awesome game by professional artist Livio Ramondelli of “Transformers: Autocracy” and “DC Universe Online” fame.

Again, a perfectly valid strategy here is to pick out the nine most outstanding characters you’ve ever designed with HeroMachine and send them in as your entry. You’re not limited to new characters only, folks, so go with your best. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

And please, remember to peruse the official rules before committing.

PS: If you sent yours in, you should have gotten an email back from me acknowledging their receipt. If you didn’t get that reply but you sent yours in, please email me (afdstudios@gmail.com) ASAP.

Got four done, gonna leave it to the last minute to send them in case I decide to add another one or do anything to them. By the way, roughly what time Monday morning?

Jeff sorry to disturb you with my questions. So you wrote need a few sentences description. I’m not that type to make descriptions. My principles to the picture speak about itself. Really reserved the description? And i can ask about help how looks like this description.

I wouldn’t leave it till Monday morning, I’d get it in before you go to bed Sunday night. I generally get to them like around ten-ish, Central Time (US).

The description is just a suggestion, if you leave it out you won’t be disqualified. Several people have already sent in just images with no text at all.

    Thanks the fast answer.

See, the thing is, I’m in England…so I get up, like, 7 hours before that…:D

  6. I should be able to e-mail you a package Saturday or Sunday, Jeff. I’ll peruse the gallery for some of my more interesting looking characters (with consideration to the rules Woody gave) and hope for the best. I might be able to revise some older designs, but I don’t see me having the time to make anything new, and it probably might not even be 9 characters.

I’ve just e-mailed my characters. Please, let me know if you’ve received them. Thanx!

I only ended up with 8 myself instead of 9, and they were all old characters, with just a few tweaks and the fancier backgrounds replaced by simple ones just so there was something for the character to stand out against.

  9. Man, as we get closer to the deadline, more and more entries are coming in. I knew this was going to be tough, but I had no idea what I was in for! Choosing only 9 of these to be represented in the final promo piece is going to be one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make! (well, probably…)

    I’ve done nothing!! AAAAAAAAARGHHH
please postpone the deadline >.< (just kidding)

  11. You’ve still got all day and all night to try to get something in. Remember, you don’t have to worry about crazy poses, backgrounds, gradient effects, etc. Just come up with an awesome character design and you’re good to go!
