The victim of an X-13 exposure, Trip Matthews was changed into a being made up of hay, which he was bailing the day the change took place. Now he is virtually invulnerable, except to fire, and he can break his body down into individual straws and reform at will. Trip is a hard-working rancher with a big heart, and he gladly gave his services to protecting the population of his small town in Wyoming. He is an honorary member of the Protectorate, but he is only called to fight alongside them in times of utmost emergency. Mostly he helps break up bar fights and take down small-time crooks.

Harrison Prescott was a dashing, playboy millionaire, made so by the artificial robotic body parts he invented. Prescott was in a terrible helicopter crash, and his own product was all that could save his life. Now his entire exterior and some internal organs are robotic. He remains the cutthroat president of PresCorp, and continues making hundreds of millions of dollars each year.
The U.S. government has offered Harrison several contracts for manufacturing weapons and armor for the armed forces, but he has always refused.

James is the father of Kevin Robertson, a young hero who like his father has a pair of large feathery wings used for flight. James, though has the power to scream with destructive force, an ability not inherited by Kevin. James would prefer to have his son fight as his sidekick, so the two of them could uphold justice together, but the boy instead wants to be the sidekick of the Raven, one of Caligo’s most beloved superheroes. This has caused resentment and a rift between father and son, and prompted James to fight crime in a more savage, questionably violent manner.

Harpy is one of the biggest thorns in the side of the Green Gremlin, but also his most frequent love interest. She was once just the daughter of a wealthy businessman, bored with life and sick of never having any challenges. She began t push herself physically,becoming a gym rat and training to compete in a number of sporting events. She put herself into peak physical condition. And then she saw the Green Gremlin in action for the first time.
She was immediately enamored by the superhero, and used her father’s money to arrange “accidental meetings” a few times, but she could never really catch his eye. So Gloria created Harpy and used her new persona to get the Green Gremlin’s attention. She often commits petty crimes just so that he’ll stop her and they can spend a few minutes fighting and flirting.
Truth be told, Gloria is a little unbalanced, or maybe just very quirky. It’s hard to tell which.
On top of her physical strengths, Harpy uses her staff and a gliding mechanism in her suit as tools to help her either fight crime or commit it, depending on her mood.

Despite his own very loud protests, three star US Army General Harold Rockford was selected to trade in his camouflage for his officer’s uniform and serve as the director of the Dogs of War, a government sanctioned team of anti-terrorist operatives chosen from all four branches of the military. Bitter about this assignment but unwilling to retire even now at the age of 83, Rockford accepted the position and now must deal with four of the most difficult men he’s ever encountered.
