ROTFLMAO 😀

I showed my Faberge Sugar Skull to Bre
and told her how I made the scroll work look 3-D by having one of them mid tone, another all yellow behind it 1 picel up for highlights
and another one all black or brown behind that  and 1 piwel lower that the mid tone for shadow …
.
She said “you are a pixel pixie”

I LVOE IT. I wish it was my screen name insted of uninspired cliff!
LOL 😀

Pop Quiz- Skull Duggery

A horror-ish themed skull I whipped up.

There was no plan for this, it was just throwing things at it to see what worked. I do like the result, though.
What’s hard for me is finding the time to get any idea about anything to a stage of completion before most of it (and some of its best parts) is forgotten.
I hear you on that. I have so many little scraps of paper with notes and (very bad) sketches I’ve done at work so I don’t forget something. So many bits and pieces with scenes or dialogue or characters, or whatever. When I make something here, a lot of times I’ll have a rough idea for a backstory that develops as I come up with the character, then I fill in the blanks when I write it out.

@Vengeance – Thank you for the compliments, my friend! I had to mess with the position of several parts (limbs and to some extent the background as well) to really make it look like he was actually running. Glad you like it!

@Suleman – Thanks for noticing the back arm, I custom built the top half of it as I wasn’t able to get a good effect with anything that was available. At one point I switched out background effects to see what I liked as I had a slight feeling that it might be too busy as well. I finally felt this was  going to work for now and maybe by the time I try another speedster/running pose, I will have some new ideas stored away that I’ll want to try.

@cliff
Anarchangel’s been having some computer trouble, he needs to get a new laptop. He posted about it on DeviantArt on July 28. I’m sure he’ll be returning to us sooner or later, don’t worry.

Great pose! I love how it gives such an impression of motion with the arm and leg placements. I especially like the back arm.
The effects are a neat idea, though they make the whole image a bit busy, there’s so much going on at once. I’m not entirely sure what to do about that. The picture is still very good, though.
